"Retro" games?

Anyone still play them? Anyone go out an purchase or “strongly hint" for their partners to purchase a Classic NES?

Have any of your retro games stood the test of time or do you think you’ve played it in the past, had fond memories of it; and before you played it again you’ve remembered it through rose tinted specs?

I think my favourite oldies with the exception of the Super Mario All Stars, have been :

Mega Man 2 (perhaps cos I never completed it and still intend to)
Punch Out (pretty much the same reason)

But I have also enjoyed some of the games on the first Play-Station

ISS Pro Evolution
Medal of Honour
Knock Out Kings 2000

I’ve been tempted by using “Marvin" but I have wondered if playing old Spectrum games is perhaps a tad O.T.T?

My wee boy whos 5 loves streets of rage. Bought the 40 game mega drive pack and he now prefers it to the lego games.

It was great, Streets of Rage 2 even better

Nothing like finding a cooked chicken or giant apple underneath a phone box or behind a dumpster when you're low on health

There's a great cafe opened up near me in Nottingham which has a bunch of flat screen TV's connected to Mega Drive's, NES, PS1, PS2, Gamecube's, N64's etc. I go every now and again and it is a great way to spend a couple of hours.

I actually think these games from our childhood would be really popular with kids today, they play fairly basic sims online now so things like Streets of Rage, Zelda etc would be right up there street imo.

When you waste your lead pipe on some easy cannon fodder street punks and then it vanishes just as one of those caaaants comes flying into the screen at head height on their motorbikes
