Just a quick word on how impressed I've been from Eriksen recently. Now a completely different player to the one who started the season, and his form in 2017 has been fantastic - his creativity really has been exceptional and we need to hope he stays fit for the rest of the season as he'd be a huge miss.
There is nobody else in the team who can do his job, I'd like us to sign a similar player in the summer but perhaps somebody who can play a bit deeper and give us a different, creative option in the 'pivot'. Against smaller teams I don't think you always need Dembele & Wanyama.
Thoughts?

Always had the talent, was almost a 'household' name among footy fans at about 17, most of Europe's elite were looking at him. I'd imagine it was an attitude or consistency thing that put them off but on current form he's realising some of that early potential.

Fantastic player. Kane and Alli get the plaudits but Eriksen keeps things ticking over.

He's improving every season. Can see him taking it up another level next season. Needs to get his set pieces up to his earlier standard again, however.

I think you can make a case for him being our POTS

He'd definitely be up there for me

agree completely-i wrote the below a while ago-and the team's offensive performance is due almost entirely to him supplying the bullets to Kane and Ali

Had an incredble season so far, but personally I feel he is often better than people make out.
He was criticised for his early season form this year, but he is a player who works best when he has good movement around him and is allowed to work in the pockets of space. The 523 works well for him as he has two wide-men in the fullbacks to pick out their runs and they allow him to sit in the gap between the opposition fullback and the nearest CM.
My favourite player in our team, incredibly creative.

I think its more to do with the formation. Playing Alli and Eriksen behind Kane in an 'arrow' type forward line enables him to be more involved.
In the 4-2-3-1 I felt he looked about lost on the flanks as Alli took up central positions.
This system should also work for Son and Lamela. Ironically I don't think it would work for Nkoudou. We may need to convert him like Conte converted Moses. Use him as a left Mid in our 3-4-2-1 formation

Glad to see Poch took my advice

I always find it funny, how people completely understand what Eriksen brings to the team. The guy is had covered more ground that any other player in our team so far this season. Whilst also having a hand in goals and assists. Yet people say deep laying Playmaker. The guy creates all over, not just deep, not just box to box, not just off the striker, not just from wide. Basically he is our catalyst, dynamo or cogs whatever generic spin or term you people prefer.
