Good to see that Bastain has showed much more class with his leaving quotes than our manager ever did with him.
"I am sad to leave so many friends at Manchester United," he said. "But I am grateful to the club for allowing me the chance to take up this challenge."
He added: "I have enjoyed working with the manager, players and staff but I have to reserve special thanks to the fans. I will always remember their energy and their passion."
Good luck to the guy as far as I am concerned. Hope it works out for him.

If it wasn't for feminist b/s most would agree he had a point
................
If it had been a male physio Jose would have still been in the wrong.
Hazard was time wasting, quite probably on Jose's instruction. When the ref calls the physio onto the filed of play, the physio has to go onto the field of play.

Jose's man management is generally excellent.
.....................
Eva would beg to differ.

For all his (many) character flaws, we know Jose is fiercely intelligent; and to me, it seems that he doesn't repeat too many mistakes.
We have to hope that he's learned from both the Eva incident, which both Chelsea and Mourinho managed very poorly, and the player revolt last season.

It was a male physio too! Funny how people forget that...

I agree.
There had to be something more than that incident that led to Chelsea's total capitulation though.

Wasn't it also that Jose gave the players a longer summer break as a thank you for winning the league but many of the squad came back way out of shape and not ready. I think he took that as a it of an insult and it probably went from there.

Good article VC
Bastian has handled himself with dignity all season which isn't a surprise as he's Bern a model professional throughout his career
Jose did bring him back into the fold somewhat although I personally think he was probably shamed into it. He could and should have used him more than he did. Lets hope we dont succumb to more injuries and suspensions in the coming weeks.

Oh yeah, absolutely.
Since his early Chelsea days, I've never needed convincing that Jose is a top, top manager. He's always had and hasn't lost that.
But it's going to take some serious time before I can be comfortable with him managing our club thanks to his past behaviour. So far, so good. Let's hope he continues to stay out of trouble and, if he's at OT for the long run, demonstrates the behaviour in a United manager the fans should demand.

Could have been, Not heard that one before.

Sort of true.
The official line was, they had longer off over the summer to avoid the burn out that meant the last few months of our Title winning season was a bit dire.
Joses work ethic will take a toll on the players.
The came back for pre season only a few days before we flew out to the US for a tour and the players were out of shape and unfit.
They never got match ready in time for the 1st game of the season and once you start playing crap and losing games it becomes a habit which is hard to break.
So its part Joses fault for not having a proper preseason (which he admitted) and part the players for being selfish and lazy

Yes he has a history of falling out with players but he is also loved by many too, just as Terry, Drogba, Lampard etc.
...............
Being loved by some of them isn't the issue. Falling out with them is. It has been his Achilles heel.
Yes I know SAF fell out with a few. But it never affected him or the club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, disputes and problems with little known players like Beckham, Keane, RvN, Tevez never affected anything.
