A real character as well as a great manager. How many managers now days would have the nerve to throw a right hander at some pitch invaders? Both sets of fans are lucky to have had him as their manager. His name will live on for generations to come at both ends of the A52.

Nah, he didn't drink? However, when he went into Grandma Derby's sweetshop down near your real ground, he used to leave his change for the next pensioner that came in. Makes folks remember the little things that mean a lot.
