I'm gonna get slated like a boss on here but IMO he's a touch overattid. I've seen him a few times and he's been good and worthy of praise but I've seen him in a few games where he's been poor. Most notably that second leg against Barca where he was utterly turgid just when PSG needed him to step up.
Don't get me wrong, he's obviously a very good player as is Pogba but what exactly is it that makes him so highly rated? Where are these games where he's been shining where people think he's THE go to midfielder if he was suddenly put on the market by PSG?
Genuinely curious and open to having my mind changed.

Feel the same about Verrati as I did about Pogba... talented but way too much hype associated relative to the talent.
I'd take Kante over both of them...

Barring Kroos, he's the closest like-for-like replacement for Carrick out there right now.
Then again, a midfield three of Veratti, Pogba and Herrera would leave the defence too exposed IMO. All three are quite similar.

He plays higher up the pitch than Carrick
Carrick is comparable to the likes of Busquets and Motta
Verratti is more like a Xavi
