Bastian now gone and i think for the best because unlike some people on here i genuinely think it was a footballing decision. If he was anything remotely like his old self, Jose would have him in the team for me. Don't think it's personal.
Rooney looks like he's going. Maybe back to Everton. And although some people on here will be happy to see him go, he is our captain and if you listen to the players a huge part of the dressing room.
And there's doubts surrounding Zlatan n Carrick. Theres talk both may get 1 yr deals and to be honest i think its imperative they do now.
It's very unlike a Jose Mourinho side to have so few leaders in it.
Wouldn't shock me if we do go for a more experienced type player in the summer as well as a few exciting young players too.

Lukaku is clearly an efficient goalscorer.
However I have never enjoyed watching him play, and he seems to score in braces against lower level opposition.

the thing that annoys me was Mourinho never gave him a chance, he shut him out as soon as he walked in, that reeks of a personal issue rather than a professional one.
Had Bastian been afforded the same chance as everyone else and failed, i dont think people would have had an issue.
This was a case of Jose coming in and dropping the closest player to LVG to show he was the boss, otherwise why wasnt he afforded the same opportunity as the rest of the squad?

It's fairly easy to see why Bastian didn't play
He was a liability, not only injury wise but it was clear last season the pace of the PL was too much for him
It's funny how people don't get that some managers just don't want to inherit certain players. Jose was very clear from day one he didn't want Bastian. Being that he knows the game and the player better than any of us, surely he would know
As for my Fellaini love in, yes, I gave him support even in his poor first season but that was based on him one day hopefully improving. Bastian was never going to improve because we were sold a dud.
