Rose to City, Shaw to Spurs

According to Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola is reportedly confident of landing Tottenham full-back Danny Rose this summer, as long as Spurs secure their replacement. The Manchester City boss is targeting Rose for City’s defence and is believed to be willing to spend £50million on the England international.

The Daily Mirror state that Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna and Vincent Kompany are all set to move on from the Blues as Pep continues his overhaul of the squad.

Spurs are not in a position where they need to sell players, but the rebuilding of White Hart Lane means that a huge offer might not be turned down, the report goes on to state.

Instead, the deal may hinge on Spurs’ ability to find a replacement, and they will look towards Manchester United’s Luke Shaw to fill any hole left.

Shaw’s days at Old Trafford seem to be numbered, and the Mirror claims that his name has already been circulated to several agents.

Don't get me wrong if we do sell Shaw and rose does end up at city i would be a very unhappy fan if we sell Shaw for less than ÂŁ30 million about time we rip Levy off he's done it to us almost every time we have signed a player from them

Why do people believe the daily mail?
Don't think we'll sell Shaw just yet. Jose's commented in recent weeks sound like he still rates him.

step down for Danny Rose. Should stay at Spurs where he is involved in title races
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When has he been involved in a title race? Don't say last season.

Jose is not patient with injury prone players. There are stories linking you to Alba too . Think you will sign a left back this summer and sell Shaw

Shaw would be an awful fit for spurs. Spurs rely on their fullbacks for width and Shaw gets a nosebleed in opponents half.

Bertrand would be a much better option if they do the unlikely and sell Danny Rose which i doubt they will.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Shaw never had a problem with that before he joined Man U.

He's been managed badly.

Agreed. If you add in the injury record then Bertrand ahead of Shaw for me.

he's never played 2 games in a week. I remember reading an article where shaw himself said he's finding it hard to playing 2 games in a week. FFS man up you're a professional and get tired of running for 3 hours a week fack me

He's never had end product. Not even at Southampton. He's really poor with his delivery and final ball. People blast Valencia on here but Shaw is much worse. Can barely remember 3 good crosses in 3 years and i don't think he's ever scored for us either (could be wrong on that one)

Bertrand is better. As is Rose.

Shaw is a good enough defender but very average attack wise.

Personally I'll be more disappointed if CBJ doesn't get to show what he can do for us. Looked brilliant at times under LvG and his crossing ability was vastly better than anything we have in the squad currently. Young, English, naturally left footed, very composed and with obvious potential.

The Daily Fail

Spurs are building a team, not dismantling one. Non story obviously made up or a lame attempt at tapping up. It would be ridiculously obscene money for Levy to even consider selling a key player to a rival
