Stan Collymore

Mentalist and hater of all things LFC Stan has said that Everton have the chance to become the biggest club in Liverpool.

"And if Everton get their recruitment right over the next two or three windows, and if they get their new stadium right, then they have a chance of overtaking Liverpool as the biggest club in the city.

"What he needs now is to kick on, and that would mean competing for trophies and out-thinking the likes of Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho on a consistent basis.

"If he can do that, then I can’t think of a better manager to guide Everton through a tricky time and close the gap that exists across the Mersey divide."

A fair few ifs and buts there but does Stan have a point. Cracking youth system, apparently the club has money (although no-one has seen any of it yet) and they do have what I think is a good manager.

So can Everton do it in the next 18 months as Stan says?

"No you fvcking clown" was my initial response but I thought about it for a while and then just though "No" instead.

How many times have Everton qualified

You tell me how finishing second was built on?

You know the answer to how many times Everton have made the CL. I have told you on many occasions.

And you know that the ultimate success in the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE is to win it.

Object achieved.

But not after building on the success of finishing 2nd.

Congratulations on linking winning the CL after finishing 2nd and kicking on to 5th

Arouna

When have we said we built on finishing 2nd? KLS said;

"That is true but the simple fact is there are the fact that when you finish second in the premier league whilst it being disappointing, it can still be considered a success"

posted on 29/3/17

But that's that what I actually said CHF!

The actual part of the comment Arouna pasted makes much better for his argument.

The simple fact that these 2 scruffs are going on about the champions league is like Peter Sutcliffe calling a shoplifter a deranged monster.

KLS

I know. Arouna's going on about finishing 2nd and building on it as if it's something we've said.

I got your point. Whilst it's disappointing not winning the league there's been success in other forms along the way, such as winning the CL, and plenty of cups. Can Everton say the same?
