Flooded stadium.....

It will be from all the Kopite tears of bitterness.

I'm socked that anyone would build on waterfront land with all these tears

So no insight into the developers 200 year development agreement then?

Longest development contract in the UK, seems fishy to me...

Spade in the ground in 60 days...

I'm not getting carried away with anything yet anyway tbh, we've been here before, although at least we've got a guy behind us who helped deliver the Emirates so that does give me optimism at least.

I'm only going to get excited over a new stadium if and when we play our first game, until then.......

L4 It's an exciting time for sure but both clubs have had false dawns on a stadium, some blues do seem to think there's already JCBs digging.

Woodison is a really windy stadium the times I have been.

being next to the sea will be even more windier which will be a bonus for Everton's hoof ball tactics

Who are you kidding.....you don't have mates

I did however mention on other threads that this won't change the club overnight. It will improve things, but the club is behind our neighbours and with the muscle and resources they have should stay that way for a good while.

It will however allow us to close the gap finance wise.

Ok I admit it, your missus sent me that....and a pic!!

Most blues tbf have been realistic as most reds from the city have also, (the Echo is only ever going to print the extremes). I see it as a redevelopment of the City which is good. I don't love councils subsidising multi million pound football clubs but they certainly greased the wheels for our redevelopment also.

My only concern is that if the further redevelopment, does not materalise down the line it could end up as a weird (very expensive) eye sore.

It appears that the stadium will be the keystone in the development and will kickstart the plans. The council are doing nothing more than helping start the development by getting a cheap loan, a loan that the club will pay a fee of £4m a year to the council for sorting out....

Sorry that you had to see that picture, but it will be useful at halloween to scare the kids and blokes down the pub
