Bolton Wanderers v Chesterfield

The last Saturday home game of the season today. Over 20000 expected inflated by the £5 ticket offer. Bolton on a run of 5 straight wins are looking to strengthen their position in 2nd 6 points clear and a vastly better goal difference than 3rd placed Fleetwood. Chesterfield by comparison have not won in 5, are 2nd from bottom of the table, 11 points from safety. What could possibly go wrong you may ask? Potential banana skin on the way. Team news. What we know. Alnwick has joined mavies, Buxton and Wilson on the injured for season list. Andy Taylor is out today. Madine went off injured at Shrewsbury but been no updates on his fitness through the week. Expected changes. Howard for alnwick with England u18 keeper jake turner as cover on the bench. Moxey for Taylor and if madine unfit then spearing to come into midfield and Vela pushed further forward.

Time to cut ties with spearing at the end of the season. On far too big a contract to renew and frankly not worth that kind of money. He was very poor. The whole midfield poor. No plan b without madine. Two little guys up front did not work. Long is very poor, Clayton a little better when he came on. Where's otabor Soliman? Thought he could be played as a striker. Need Taylor and madine back PDQ. Back 3 and keeper reliable only positives.

We were ripe if not begging for a change of style and with a wide combination to choose from there's plenty of RoadRunner videos for PP to watch if he needs some ideas it may teach him you don't need a Madine/target man to score and dominate a game.
Who's got the beta max video's of the Ian Greaves days perhaps we have to go that little bit extra in giving PP help to kick the habit more visits to the U18 and U23 games wouldn't go amiss either.

We have to get over the line for Chairman Ken to able to commence Part Deux of his cunning plan a win on Tuesday would go a long way to settling the run-in nerves.

One promotion secured the lasses move up to the FA Women's Premier League Division One North.

It's down to PP and the blokes to make it a double promotion season.

The above proves that naming the rag The Beano was correct not a mention of the ladies promotion perhaps they'll get around to saying something when they have stopped playing on Twotter and Farcebook.

Will they issue a special promotion supplement to mark this great occasion ? I doubt it as well. Women's football is big business these days such a shame the local rag let them down instead of writing to The Times or my MP I'm minded to pen a suitable letter to Chairman Ken requesting he does something about this lack of respect from The Beano cutting Marc Iles off from the club Wi-Fi might make him realise he is supposed to be a reporter of football news

Phil Parkinson urges Bolton Wanderers to keep their eyes on the prize reports The Beano
Much better to use the tried and trusted statement of 'points mean prizes' isn't it no point watching the prize if you don't want to win it by getting those points. Putting blinkers on and ignoring results elsewhere was tried on Saturday by a few on the pitch and in the crowd it doesn't work in real life does it.

How are you feeling ahead of tomorrows match I'm expecting the Sun Tan kid to have them fired up as they aim to consolidate a play off place.

feeling we will win Tuesday and against scunny but drop points in the other games left

Well Isaac we may be alright with that but it could leave the door open for a squeaky bum finish come Wednesday morning we'll know if you need to submit a revised forecast

Not getting beat at southend and Scunthorpe is important. Would take 2 draws now. 2 wins from the last 4 would seal it. Maybe less. Lose these 2; and its anyones again.

The ladies went on to take the title after gaining promotion in their previous match and doing it in style with a big win away at Blackpool.
Once upon a time that was the sort of performance we expected from the men today is a day PP and the boys need to doff their cap to the way the ladies play their game aim high and try and match the ladies achievements .
Oh and a goal feast thrown in for a promotion celebration would put the icing on the cake now who is going to put it to PP and the boys.
