King Kolo holds one of the most prestigious accomplishments in football, or is about to anyway! Twice he's won the league unbeaten, and if Celtic finish without losing a game, it'll be his second full league season without a loss. Don't think any other player has ever done that in history of the game.
He was a terrific defender in his prime, not to so much after that but still managed to play at as high level as he could.
Alongside his achievements, his brother was part of possibly the greatest team ever in history winning 6 in a year.

His performance levels dipped massively after 2008 when he had malaria (unsurprisingly). Think he may have even contracted it again later on.
Great player for a time though.

You can only contract Malaria ONCE but people do get attacks maybe yearly after that - it never goes away.

Ah right, it sounds pretty savage either way! I remember it being mentioned he had malaria during his time at Arsenal and then later at Liverpool so sounds like it came back if that's the case.

To be fair at his age not bad picking up free trophies. Playing at 10% the level he was at Arsenal and still winning the league easily in a pub league. Anyone else would love an early retirement.
