Wanderers V Mighty Red's Match Thread

Two key games coming up, that it is vital that we take point's from.

Blackburn are the elephant in the room.

I know that we only take it 'one game at a time' & we're only concentrating on the Wolves game or that is what the players and Mark Warburton will say. However I see squad and team selection [especially if players need to be rested or are returning from injury] to be made with half an eye cast toward Saturdays home game against Huddersfield. Udders are having a little wobble and David Wagner sounded somewhat sorry for himself in his post Burton interview [ lost 4-0 against Bristol City & 0-1 against Burton]
Udders play tomorrow night by the way, so opportunity knocks?

In the two previous games Forest have played well, had a lot of possession, but then made silly mistakes. This may well be down to confidence, something that Warburton says that he's working on in training.

Tonight will be another difficult away game; Wolves have recovered well after a serious wobble through out February that saw them lose five games on the bounce and concede eight goals. March brought about a resurgence and a four game winning run, after a goal-less draw against the Tractor Boy's. They have scored 9 goals since then, only conceding 3!

We may well see a return to the starting eleven tonight for Michael Mancienne as one of either Chris Cohen or David Vaughan are rested. Ward may start in place of Ben Bereton.

Wolves will have Andy Lonergan in goal as Carl Ikeme is injuried. Helda Costa is the Wolves man to watch tonight.

So a tough task tonight for the Red's. If we are to pull away from the bottom we need a point tonight followed by three on Saturday.

Poor signing by Forest. He is better wide than as a number 10 but rarely performed and was subbed before half time in his last game for us. Needs to toughen up physically and mentally

Texeira would suit the style you are trying to play
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was a mystifying signing at the time. Saw him play for the U23's and I can't understand why they got him. He is behind Clough and McCormack for the number 10 role so he has no chance of breaking in to the team as it stands. He is one of "that" agent's players who has foisted some cack on Forest recently such as Lica and is bleeding Al Hasawi dry.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just isn't suited to the English game at the moment but is certainly a ten and not a winger as suggested above, its a wolves thing, talent = stick 'em on the wing, poster above wants Ronan out there as well which is incredible given how good he is going to be.

Hope you guys avoid the drop to be honest, good club, though we might take Assombalonga off you if you don't mind.

I hope Forest have the chance for revenge at Molineux next season too. Assombalonga is on a decent contract so you'd be looking at £7m given that he doesn't look quite as effective as pre-injury.

Well thankfully(i think) money isn't a problem now, but we still need to be careful not to fall into the FFP zone, we will presumably sell Costa for 20 million to get the ball rolling and i am pretty sure we will readily spend toward 10 million on a worthy striker and i would imagine Assombalonga is on that list along with the likes of Rhodes, though i would perhaps go for someone like Wickham personally.

this guy was telling us when Wolves dropped Teixeira that we would next see him playing for a top team in the Champions League. Did Forest reserves qualify for Europe this year?

He is at Benfica no? On loan to forest?

Fact is he was man of the match for us about three times and he only played around a thousand minutes.

Reality is that he comes from a league where ability trumps hard graft so it is quite a culture shock arriving in the championship where you are judged on miles covered rather than ability on the ball.

Costa was slated early in the season before he settled also and cav gets slated now despite the fact we score far more goals when he is on the pitch.
