It's very easy to put the blame on Maureen, but it has to be said that, at the end of the day, he is a top coach.

It's his squad, and for that the blame lies with LVH and Moyes, each to differing degrees. They spunked some serious money up the wall not just on dross, but on very capable players who, at the end of the day, were not United players; despite their obvious skills - hence the exorbitant costs - they were not suited for United.

And, hopefully, they will continue in this mode, trying to buy instant success.

And failing. Again.

Nothing personal, mind.

VC for sure you should win the Europa, none of the other sides are as good and Jose has a good record in cups.

If you don't though, and you finish say 6th, it'll be worse than van gaal and he'll have a tough time explaining it, unless he's talking to robb.

What a mess... and I have little to no faith we'll be winning any of those 3 games. Yet people will tell you we are making progress. The previous manager did and would be doing better with our home form...

If we don't win the Europa it will be a poor season. No one doubts that

But no one at the ground or on here wants Jose sacked . What does that say about the situation? That deep down we know the squad Jose has inherited isn't great and that we must give him time to fix what is wrong .

I must also say it's nice for a Liverpool fan to be so concerned about our wellbeing.

United will definitely win the Europa, absolutely convinced about that.

Will they do what we did last season though and throw all their eggs in one basket to get CL through the EL?

Of course I take a small amount of delight in united not doing so well robb, but I also offer up my view on the situation (the horror!!).

And as I said on the other thread, I think if Europa isn't secured then a lot of people will be okay with giving him another season as just sacking managers isn't working. Plus one season isn't enough, he could turn it around in the second season.

Mourinho is a spent force, football has moved on and he has not.

He's still very much the same manager and tactician from his first stint at Chelsea football has moved on an he hasn't.

Fergusons greatest asset as a manager was that he altered his playing style and his squad every 5 years or so to move with the times, very few managers have done that, look at all the others from the best PL period, Benitez is managing in the championship (although far too good for it) arsenal fans want Wenger out, and then Mourinho..

Three of them haven't moved on from that time and are shipping down the table as a result.

While I wanted LVG to stay for his final year, Mourinho has done a good job in terms of turning us into a team that can create lots of chances quickly. I don't blame the manager if we outplay the opposition hence why I didn't blame LVG when we played at home as we only got outshot once in 29 home matches last season. LVG though struggled away from home and mainly against a lot of the smaller sides for some reason.

I actually feel sorry for Mourinho as we should really be top of the league and Chelsea should be 5th instead but football is all about efficiency.
