A sad confession

After the debacle (harsh, I know) of Bournemouth, part of me had given up. I didn't try to link up on TV, I didn't don't even listen to the game on Ch. 429. I checked the score at half time, we were 1-0 down, with the headlines being that neither Roberto nor Philippe were playing.

Being a glutton for punishment, I thought I'd sit down and listen to the last half hour commentary. By then, of course, both our Brazilian boys were on. The game had turned round. Mig had made two world-class saves. Then the boys from Brazil delivered. Guilt-ridden for questioning their commitment? Undoubtedly.

Then to the last 10-15 mins, the time the team joins hands, panicks, and let's the opposition either draw or win.

But they didn't.

Then, post-match, Jurgen says Philippe has lost 3Kg in weight this week. And that Roberto, for the first time ever, admitted burn-out after the Bournemouth match.

That I could question the commitment of the Reds? Again?

I am beyond forgiveness. I am not worthy. But they drive me to it.

PS it looks like they are the Sky game, on at 8:30pm.
