Something that affects all of us

Hi folks, non football article - wouldn't normally post something like this but i thought as it affects most of us, i thought i may as well. Link below.

I can't believe the government keeps moving the pension age further and further out! Surely if there is a gap in the funds they can recoup the money from some other means rather than moving the date further and further out , after having paid into it for over 30 years.

I was wondering , if Scotland was to get independence , could the Scottish government scrap this and get the pension date back to being 65 again?

Unlikely i know, but as i say, just thought i would share my frustration of this on this forum.

Why can't they tax Google more or banks etc and fund this gap rather than us workers having to lose out on our pension years.

Apologies, i know its a football forum. I don't post many non football topics, but i know there are a few clued up bears and Bhoys on here, so thought it would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Ps - Celtic should get hammered for this.

The biggest stealth tax rip offs are the lifetime allowance and the annual allowance on pensions.

The main reasons are to do with pensions being based on decades old formulas i.e when lifetime expectancy was 25 years post retirement - its clear that average is increasing.

Also the worldwide slowdown in economies have challenged pensions on two fronts.

For you youngsters out there - don't use the word 'pension' use, 'earnings in retirement'.

Helps to focus the mind with those who think it's too far away to think about.

25 years post retirement? Average?
Where is that? Rivendale?
