Sanchez to Man City

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/10834519/alexis-sanchez-high-on-manchester-citys-summer-transfer-list-sky-sources

To compound our misery...

Sky reporting that City have a genuinely strong interest in signing Alexis in the Summer. He has 14 months left and we're apparently thinking of cashing in. To make matters worse, Chilean media have reported that he's already agreed a deal in principle with Man City and is waiting for the summer to join them. If true, it would certainly go a long way in explaining his dip in form.

It goes without saying that we shouldn't have let it get to this stage with our best player (once again), but here we are. So what do we do? Do we risk keeping an unhappy player at the club next season that could damage squad morale even more? Or do we cash in?

There's no easy solution to this, but for me - and this is assuming City are the only club that want to put a legitimate bid in - I would rather have him training with the reserves than sell him to one of our rivals. The days of selling our best players were meant to be over, yet now it seems like we're heading back to those dark days again. If we sell him to City, the poisonous atmosphere around the club will be amplified even further.

The fact that this is even a possibility is worrying enough and I can't envisage the situation at the club improving anytime soon...

This is why Sanchez will join Utd.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As if he'd join u europa league hopefuls
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's you next season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes and you and thats why he won't join u has beens
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well at least you can console yourself that Wenger will replace him with a 150k Unknown from a team like Bonga Bonga city in Ghana.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe but doesn't change the fact that your once great club is now an also ran club and your time in the limlite has long gone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I 10-2 think that it will be a different story in a year or two.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool fans said that aswell
You have become a joke club since fergie left and long may it continue

Sterling won't reach Sanchez's level so he'd be worth getting if that's his competition.

The way Sanchez has been playing I think he'd be the first name for any position in that City midfield, except as a DM.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He wouldn't displace Sane or Silva, KDB has been a bit hot and cold but he fits City well when on form and isn't as mentally fragile as anyone from Arsenal. Sanchez is a great player but will need to change his attitude if he to player for a better team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How are u a better team u are only 7 points in front of arsenal who's also having their worst season in 20 years pus they finished above u last season even though man city have spend a billion? Crazy to think they are better
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In what is clearly the start of a rebuilding year City are streets ahead of Arsenal. First year with a new manager against shall we say a couple of years of a managers regime. Arsenal are on a road to nowhere and no City fan would pick Sanchez ahead of Silva.

Spurs relied on the non sending off/penalty of the season to get a draw against City, plus it isn't a rebuilding season for Spurs, they have a pretty settled team and defence, City have a defence way past its best before and what they thought they were doing with Bravo is beyond me, but find a City fan who would pick Sanchez ahead of Silva and you will have a long task.
