Hope this is true

According to this we're "ready to make a concerted effort" to sign Ben Gibson.

Boro value him at £30m and I reckon that's a snip given Stones' ridiculous fee, this lad can actually defend. Other bigger clubs want him but he might see us as a regular game and not be first choice elsewhere so if we offer them the money he's someone we could potentially convince to come.

Also pleasing that we're still looking for the same type of players we had under Walsh as our transfer policy hasn't changed. We signed that lad from Stafford Rangers too so it looks like Walsh's work is being continued.

Bet you're happy about this BS 😉

Nobody has said Kasper is the best in the PL, when he has De Gea, Courtois, Lloris as competition. But having the 4th or 5th best keeper in the PL will do for me.
And as for not commanding his box, well NP, CR and CS have all thought him adequate enough to be our number 1.

Zieler is a number 2 at the moment, he hasn't shown anything that makes him a better more reliable keeper than Kasper, and if he is that good why weren't bigger clubs fighting to sign him when we did.

He needs to knuckle down and keep practicing and doing what he can, if he thinks he is better than Kasper then he needs to move on and play elsewhere.

For me Kasper is an 8/10 whereas Zieler is a 5/10 when he has played.

There were countless times yesterday when he came and collected the ball through bodies. Him and Zieler aren't comparable and he should leave because I will never feel safe with him between the sticks, I'd prefer Hamer.

CoE no there wasn't what about the time he came out did not even get off the ground and got a soft foul from the ref.
Hes a good shot stopper and a good keeper but not a great keeper imo.
Ron knows he will have to leave to be a first choise keeper is that a surprise as for knukling down its not like he's some newby he has although you guys dis it a world cup winners medal and played for many years in the German top flight he's not a former Championship or league one player looking for his big break

You must have watched a different game to those of us at Selhurst yesterday Nev, you highlight one moment but conveniently ignore the other times that Kasper performs as he should.
All keepers have areas that are weaker than others, but to read your posts you would think Kasper had lead boots and was one armed and blind and that RRZ was the second coming of Shilts/Banks.
Kasper would walk into 16-17 of the PL sides, can you honestly say the same about Zieler?

Nev is blind and sees what he wants to see. There were a few occasions when he came and collected and started counter attacks with throws out to Albrighton. One in particular he was about eight yards out and went through Huth, Fuchs and Benteke. The commentator commented then on how good he is and how important it is to have a keeper who can take the pressure off. Clearly you missed that one then. Convenient.

I think Nev is confusing Kasper with Slowmani.

I think it's becoming clear with every passing comment how utterly deluded Nev is in general. It's like reading the ramblings of a mad man

I love it how TB thinks his Slowmani quip is genuinely funny - keeps repeating it until it gets a mention. Here you go then son....

I disagree sorry its jusy my opinion as a goal keeper as for him walking into 17 PL teams i don't think so as neither would Ron.

Two incidents od failer to come one which resulted in a goal is not a small weakness its the difference in being a top keeper.but i don't care what you think and you can slaag me off as you want its my opinion.

I would love to know the bigger club that would sign him because he is going know where if that the case

As far as I can see there is no "slagging off" in this thread, you have your deep seated opinion about Kasper and I happen to hold an opinion that is the polar opposite.
IMO Kasper would walk into all teams except Chelsea, Man Utd and Spurs.

Shlock horror I'm going to edge more towards Nev on this one!

Kasper has always been excellent at shot stopping, this season he's been outstanding. His distribution is usually really good, sometimes he tries too hard to turn defence into attack and loses the ball but that's forgivable.

Where he's improved somewhat is coming for crosses, however that's from dreadful to just poor.

I'd rank him as mid table amongst the PL keepers, certainly can't complain overall. I think Ron would fit better in a top side, I reckon he's suffered through not having ball playing defenders in front of him and lost confidence as a result.
