Circling the pan.

With our season over and only who Rowett plays remaining to spark interest we have time now to look East and examine the plight of West Bridgford's football team.

The steady demise of the Red Dogs under Fawaz has been a source of considerable merriment at this end of the A52 and this season has been no diiferent.
Forest are well on course for their lowest finish since being relegated to div 3 the last time and the Fawaz matra of "a third star" is now a distant memory.
Hopes were raised of a takeover or two happening before descending into farce and ultimate failure.
Forest fans voted with their feet and now the empty seats out number occupied ones at The Kennel.
It's sad for them but who cares the'd be rubbing their hands with glee if we were circling the pan like they are.
A point for Burton a win for Blackburn and defeat for Forest tomorrow sees them in the bottom 3 and with the local rag in West Bridgford reporting another takeover in the wings they could well be starting next season in League 1 under new ownership.

I dare say many dogs may take that if it meant Fawaz was gone such is the depth of feeling against him.

It'll be a sad day for Rams though because the epic fail of al Hasawi has been comedy gold.

Ross McCormack will be available at the end of the season would anyone take him?

Don't think Rowett would touch him with a bargepole !

It will now be up to GR to fine a couple of junior gems with which to start the team rebuild.

I don't think we need a huge outflux/influx.

Goalies, no need for change. Our defence is better than most but a good change for Shackell, maybe with team Leadership qualities. Full back if we could fine a really outstanding one. Baird, Christie, Olsson all sound. Midfield ? a great holding MF if GT is not getting fit. That would get us to the best of the best from Will Hughes (but I suspect he will sold). Johnson when on form is great. Butterfield could be coached to be more direct and Bryson could come into his earlier influential buzzing. I like JR and Vydra will repay his huge fee. Nugent knows where the ball is likely to be and also where the net is. A replacement for Darren Bent who could leave I think. Blackman has never hit the heights in spite of his background.

Otherwise who are our youngsters? Bennett, Hanson, Lowe and surely some others are in there or our academy is beginning to fail after a few excellent years.

Of those youngsters, only Max Lowe has generated any interest ( and that from a premier league club).
