Morning guys
Before I start this isn't a knee jerk reaction from Sunday's game, or a dig at Kante as he's a player I'd love to have at United. However, does anyone agree that he shouldn't be winning player of the year?
Kante is one of one players that allows others to flourish. He tackles and intercepts better than anyone but his game is very limited. He keeps it simple and that's great, but to me he's an exceptional athlete rather than an exceptional footballer.
Players will vote for him as they love players like him, but in my opinion he shouldn't be player of the year.
Thoughts?
Kante

Kante has been the player who's made the most difference this year by far.
Any of the top 6 would have won the title if they'd signed him. We tried, Chelsea got him though and the proof is in the results. Kante in a Jose team would be absolutely top class.

I disagree that any team would win the title with Kante. Scoring goals has been our problem, Kante wouldn't help with that. Doubt he'd have fixed City or Liverpools leaky defences either. He'd make a huge difference to Arsenal but I still doubt they'd win it because their Arsenal.

Arsenal could have Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo, Bale, Kante, Griezmann, Maradona and Pele in their prime and the still wouldn't win the league.
Because they are Arsenal

What an utterly pubescent article, oozing bitterness and lacking basic football knowledge.

Straight to the immature language. Nice
I am and always have been very complimentary of Kante, you're welcome to disagree and say why but if you're going to be biter and immature then feck off

Stop spouting cobblers.

This is pure nonsense... Chelsea would not even have won the title (they may still not) but for a massive u-turn in form by Hazard and a big tactical change by their manager.
I guess this is the 2+2 effect of Leciester winning the league and Chelsea looking likely to... Kante is the common denominator, therefore Kante won the league for both teams, without much thought for the form of Vardy/Mahrez/Drinkwater and Costa/Hazard/Matic.
As i've said, he deserves the plaudits and has made a massive contribution... But the idea that he is the main difference is daft.

Best player in the league bar none for the last 2 seasons. Shouldn't be a doubt who should win the award. Special mention to Harry Kane and Danny Rose. Both have been terrific too.

Whilst I agree with this I still think he has been the most influential player overall and therefore deserves it on that basis.
I also agree that there have been better players in his position in the past but that is true of most positions tbf! This season I think he deserves it but in previous seasons he may not have got a look-in as I don't think he has been amazing or anything.
