Training grounds in London

I saw something on MOTD last night about teams in the North East relocating their training grounds to London so that they can attract players to the club. This would mean they train and live in London and travel to games up north at the weekends.

I know some people might be horrified by this but I actually think it is a really good idea. Clubs like Sunderland and Boro who are based in the cold and secluded North East struggle to attract players to play up there. If you were playing football in sunny Spain or the European mainland with nice warm climates and food would you want to move your family to the north east which is pretty grim and the weather is horrendous?

Don't get me wrong I love the north and I am a northerner but I relocated to London and I have never looked back. It is in the top 3 cities in the world to live and has bags of culture and a lot better weather than the north.

Last year my club were linked with Sanchez but he chose London as his wife preferred to live in London than up north.

Liverpool & Manchester have turned into fantastic cities with a lot going for them now. They have a lot more culture and bags of good restaurants serving world cuisine. What they miss is the weather.

Do you think this is a good plan for northern team and also fans of Liverpool/Everton and Utd/City how would you feel if your team moved their training facilities to London so that they could attract better players to the clubs.

Admin please multi board with the north east clubs

Of course clubs that have a core of players that don't want to move, could risk having cliques forming

So basically the entire team and nearly everyone working for them would have no connection to the city/town of the actual club because they'd all be living in London, great idea. Why not forget using humans all together as we seem to not want any integration between the players and the fans of the city/town they play for and all just play FIFA.

Might make Woodward happy, he'd be an uber drive away.

Horrific idea to base your training ground in London

It would probably be cheaper to have your facility in south of Spain with amazing weather than in London

Might also give him ideas to move the club there.

However, I'd query a couple of things about it.

1) Weather isn't that different, if you look at actual statistics. It's about 2 degrees warmer in London and a couple more days of rain per month.

2 degrees on average is a massive difference though.

18 or 20 degrees, big diff

I don't get the rain stat. I was always getting rained on in Manchester. I can't remember the last time i cycled to work in the rain in london. Got to be about a month ago.

I quoted someone else, but made a mess of it though.

We don't have issues in attracting top players. Neither do City to be fair.

It could help Liverpool and Everton though
