One more win will be enough....

Sitting on 45 points with a -12 goal difference one point above Blackburn with a -15 goal difference, if we can somehow scratch one more win from our remaining 3 games I think it could be just enough to save our sorry @sses. Putting us on 48 points leaving Blackburn to realistically need to win 2 of their remaining 3 games which I think will be too much for them.

They have Wolves (a), Villa (h) and Brentford (a) and maybe I'm being overly optimistic but I just dont see them winning 2 of those 3. They may scrape 4 points but if we can grind out that illusive last win then our goal difference will be enough to keep us up. Assuming obviously that Wigan are pretty much already gone.

I'm not sure we even deserve to stay up such has been the obnoxious shambles that is our ownership and day to day running but arguably Blackburn are every bit as appalling off the field. If we are to somehow survive Warbs needs to start playing our strikers in their proper positions, this tinkering is killing us all season, Assombalonga and Brereton up top together and just go for it for once. QPR and particularly Ipswich at home final day are winnable games but we need to stop starving our front line!! We really are our own worst enemy and our current position simply, as everyone knows, is the culmination of years of reckless and chaotic ownership and we look a sorry sad state.

Do we even have the gumption and will to fight for one more victory, I seriously dont know, never has a club been in such need of a mass clear-out starting of course with the lunatic in the boardroom... COYR do it for us long suffering fans just this one time....!!!!!!!!!

Just as worrying are our strange tactics and lack of goals, I really do wonder why we brought in the likes of McCormack and Tishbola plus others if we had no intention of using them, even by our standards this seems weird. As I see it we have a chance of a win against Reading, mainly because we seem better equipped to play the top teams, and we have a decent recent home record against them, plus they play an open game as their last results confirm, 1-7, 3-1 and 2-1, however, they definitely need the points.

Lot's of strange things going on, probably because the bloke in charge is a massive idiot. I would have preferred Dougie F back simply because the guy knew how to grind out a draw, most of the time. Having said that the guy would have probably played a more attacking game with the wealth of talent in this year's squad. D.F had no goal threat at all, after we lost Nelson O.

The most disturbing aspect of relegation is the m.w is highly likely to be sacked by the new owners?

Red, apparently MW is the choice of the 'new owners' so it will be interesting to see how that pans out. When he arrived I was optimistic for the future but am baffled by some of his selections, and tactics, that said, if we survive this season in the Championship, give him the summer to make his own choices and hopefully the optimism will return.👍

What a horrid position we all find ourselves in.

Surprised your boys are this lowly- no as surprised about ours given the way we have been run/managed over the last 6 years.

Still rather hoping Birmingham go but I think harry will get a result somewhere along the line.

You need a win and we need two. I would much rather be in your position. That being said would you put your mortgage on a specific win in any match- me neither.
Won't wish you good luck because somewhere over the next three games luck is going to play its part and I want us to have it.
Season end all the best.

John Percy reporting that McCormack has not trained for three weeks.

Money down the pan again.

Afternoon walkden,

Confidence is at a all time low over here as you can tell. Think the rots finally set in and many of us are just waiting for whatevers happens to happen.

We've had enough time to get the points on the board and we've just not responded, It will only get less likely for us to pick up points as, as you saw when you played us, we bottle it under pressure.

While all of us hope to stay up, a fair few see relegation as a push of the 'reset button' that the club has desperately needed. Out of spite, a select few want it, even if it's just to devaluate fawazs returns.

I'd wish you lot luck, but if I did it'd be at forests expense hopefully when we play each other again in a few seasons time we'll both be under new leadership

Another complete head scratching acquisition that left Forest fans wondering WTF??? Obviously another Fawaz signing, sticking his beak in thinking he knows best.

Fawaz at this stage makes the Venky's look like Bill Gates...!

A stint in Div 1 didn't do Leicester/Southampton/Man City any harm (looking on the brightest side possible).
Not so sure about Blackpool/Pompey/Coventry!
Probably better to stay up in Championship in hindsight

There is no silver lining to being relegated.

There is a rebuilding job to be done. In League one that job will be much bigger because more of our current squad will leave and we will only be able to sign players prepared to play at and be good enough for that level.

If Brereton leaves we would have a chance of loan back if we were in the Championship. Would Osborn stay if we are in League 1? would Lichaj, Britt?

It will need a seismic change to the way the club is being run to turn things round and make the club successful. It is no more likely to happen in League 1 than it is in the Championship.

Looking at Saturday's matchday squad I have been wondering what ins and outs we will see before next August. From that 18 I think Tsibola and Vellios will depart. From all those who didn't make the squad I would expect only Henderson, Mills and Traore to be in next seasons first team squad. There may be some who graduate from the academy but I am leaving them out for now. But that would bring us up to 19, and probably needing another six players to make a 25 man squad which seems a reasonable number to me.

I think we would need to bring in the following:

A keeper
A right back
Centre back
Defensive midfield
Creative midfield
A striker

We could of course see others leave. Mancienne and Pinillos for example; hopefully not Brereton or Osborn. And Hobbs and Fryatt maybe given monthly contracts if the don't find another club.

It could be another busy window for us. Hopefully a more successful one that the last two.
