WHAT CELLINO SAID....

Asked about transfers cellino admitted he told radrizzani not to invest immediate funds for players, saying 'I don't let him invest nothing yet.
We are 50/50 I told him 'don't spend nothing'
We have many players don't get in a mess.
Sometimes we want too much. As owners we want to participate in games
And sometimes it's a disaster.
The team is doing good, they're growing. They should get better & better, sometimes buying players you think it makes a team stronger but maybe we break it up. Sometimes spending money can hurt a club'

I bet he's been speaking to a cockroach... this is what I was going on about with us not spending in january

Ps the above taken from Leeds etc twitter

LST ........... i'll take the disappointment of missing out if we hold on to the best players, including signing up the likes of Bartley, and develop the squad overall.

We've perhaps overachieved and we've perhaps exceeded expectations ..... but this season could be so close and yet so far (again!)......

Why do you want to keep the same players that have failed?

As for Bartley, Swansea are likely to demand him back if relegated.

I think we should be aiming for better loan players all round to help us get up.

GK - we seem to be ok

CBs - we have Coops, possibly Jansson, plus Ayling. Bartley would be a great addition as permanent, but not sure we will have that option and it's not down to us.

RB/LB - Ayling, Berardi, Coyle. Need a very good loan player.

Midfield - we have an abundance of midfielders, but we have seen their frailties. Need some good players here.

Wingers - with great midfielders and overlapping wing-backs, we already have ok wingers, but none of them have that real desire and speed to get at players. Get rid of all and bring in better ones with very clear attributes.

Forwards - we have to work out how to use Antonsson. Wood is a key player but may leave. Doukara has shown he can do a job off the bench. Our problem has not been our attackers this year, but our general attacking play (or lack of it). While others are able to get 6 players in the penalty area on a break, our supporting players are usually standing around the centre circle.

I don't think all the players have failed but agree we need better, especially in midfield.

Generally agree with all you've put - we do seem to lack players trying to support Wood in the box ..... no one seems to make a run from midfield, they seem transfixed with not moving too far forward (perhaps coached that way?).

Graysons midfield was brilliant, his defense was crap!..

He was a defender!..

We had problems with defense and fix it, then the midfield was at fault, its not down to the coaches, its down to the players brought in, and whether or not the coach has a say or gets what he wants!..

Grayson didn't!..

Monk did well to do what he did with this team, maybe with a bit better in midfield we wouldn't be fighting over what let us down!..

I don't think it's a midfielder coach

Monk has signed grimes, okane and Bridcutt

And played them along with Phillips and veiri

There a pattern, monk loves these types of midfielders

God knows why
