We all know the real high end/potentially world-class players play regularly for big teams early doors in their careers; so circa 18-21.
Is that accurate?
Rooney was. Owen was. Shearer was, Lampard, Terry, Gerrard, Scholes, Henry, Vieira, Beckham, Giggs, Pogba, Ferdinand and I'm sure many, many more were playing, or at least were in the first team squad after big money moves.
So I'm hoping we promote someone who, although I've seen very little of (hence the reason for the article) , am very excited by.
Angel Gomes. And I think he's English, or qualifies to play for England.
So along with the other group of exciting young players England have, hopefully, this kid breaks through ready for the next World Cup.
I should get some stats and highlights on the kid, but I'm at work, so hopefully some other lazy, work-shy can collate some data to shine a positive light on this precocious talent.
