We need to stay clear of Bale

He needs to get rid of injuries quickly. Final.years at Spurs he seemed to have put it behind him with dodgy techniques.

I don't see how Mane isn't a Mourinho type player. He's a hard worker and a pacy, counter attacker.

Yeah, i don't see what Busby is on about with that.

Bale needs to stay away from us as much as we need to stay away from him.

I actually think his injury record would be much worse were he to move to the PL.

You would think that his greatest attribute in pace is going to get hampered with all those muscle injuries he's getting.

Does Bale play CF like Ronaldo does? Could use him up top, where he doesn't need to run up and down the flank. Who knows?

Historically, I'd agree. But I think Jose is doing something quite different with us.

We're not setting up to play counterattacking football, and he hasn't started building a squad to play that way.

Pace we need more of and he'll be looking for more of, yes. But I don't think we're being turned into a side that will often cede possession and play on the break. We'll be playing a possession-based game under Mou I think.

I don't even think he has improved that much, if at all, since moving to Real.

At Tottenham he would literally pick up the ball anywhere in the opposition half and either run straight towards the goal or unleash a rocket of a shot. He won so many games in the dying minutes for Tottenham in his final season there.

At Real, I don't remember the last time he did anything of the sort. Maybe 2/3 times a season since he joined.

Plus he'll be 28 in the summer and he's already spending half a season on the injury table. Would much rather give Martial a chance or take a risk on someone younger and less well known

His replacement in the El Classico, Ascensio, was brilliant. Anyone know anything about him?
