City/United signings rated

According to Matt le Tissier, Gabriel Jesus and Gundogan are hits and Pogba is a miss.

So Jesus who has played like 4 times is a hit and Pogba who has had numerous very good games is a miss? Pure logic there. We all know Pogba hasn't been brilliant all season but he has made us a better team and has put in some very good performances. Gundogan while good before his injury didn't pull up any trees and his injury arguably means he's a miss.

I agree with the rest although it's still debatable whether Mkhitaryan is a hit yet. Very talented player who had some brilliant games on his return to the team. Hasn't played enough though and goals have masked his average displays lately.

Then again these ratings are a hardly a surprise coming from a man who predicted Southampton would finish above United earlier in the season.

I don't hate him in the slightest, he's a bit of a buffoon but I certainly don't hate him.

My issue with him is that he's not really that good.

I actually don't get the genuine hate for Pogba from opposition fans.

....................

I don't really see any hate, just pee taking because he has been a big disappointment.

What I don't get is this blinkered view from our own fans that he has been good for us.

He has't. He has had a handful of good games, a handful of poor games and the rest he has been average.

If we only paid 30m for Pogba, I would still say he has been poor. Pogba has had a disaapoibting season, his explanation the other day comparing himself to Kante was laughable. Yes, he has created plenty which our forwards have missed. At the same time, he was bullied when spurs faced us, Guye from Everton bullied him, I have not seen him control one big game. Position wise the lad looks lost. He is not a good dribbler in my eyes, as he 9 times out of 10 always loses possession.

Pogba undoubtedly a miss. Most expensive player in the world, not worth it and not living up to anywhere near the expectations, although there are signs he is improving. Ability to affect big games in question, his best games have come against poor teams, also seen with a very talented France team in the euros. People can argue all sorts about his fee, but the fact is he's the most expensive player on a colossal salary, and looks like a talented but inconsistent player worth about a 3rd of that.,

Stones definite miss too. What possessed city to fork out 50m for him, we'll never know.

Agree with most of the rest though.

Hard to deny that Pogba has got a lot to do.

When you take his price tag into consideration, I think you would have to say he's been more of a miss than a hit, if those are your only two options.

We've got opposition fans saying they're disappointed he won't be playing against them. That speaks volumes. Hopefully next season he'll come good but it's been frustrating watching him so far.

Pogba hasn't made you any better really, you're basically the same side as last season with the odd bit more flair but very little difference.

League postion, goals scored, and overall style of play are all very similar.

nah, that's rubbish and you know it.

As for Pogba, I've seen enough to suspect there's a very good player in there. He's been very ordinary this year but he'll come good, there's a lot of talent there.

Jesus looked good in his few games, but so did Macheda at first. Judge him over a season when he's done one. I like Gundogan, but I reckon he'll be back on the pies now he's injured again.

Been rather ordinary most of his career, splashed with a touch of class occasionally. Just not enough to be top class, and certainly not enough to be the worlds most expensive player. Look at who he played with for juve and France. He had a very, very good 'supporting' cast to enhance his rep.

From what I have seen miki has shown so much more than Pogba so far and will be a better player in the future for United imo.
Just face it Pogba has been very average so far.

Miki is our most exciting player with the ball.

Even miki has been hit and miss this season. But on the balance a better signing than pogba, and A lot better value for money.
