Wayne Rooney

Hello fellow blues,
I was just wondering what the general consensus was on Rooney rejoining us?
I've been an Everton fan all my life and personally still feel let down by him. Leaving and giving his best years to Man-U still upsets me.
He could probably do a good job for us still but I personally would rather not see him back in Everton colours, just to suit him.

Still has something to offer both on and off the pitch.

He will get a payoff from United and they won't be looking for a massive fee-neither can he command one. I would recon he will accept £100k and still have a payday in China or the US after a few years.

So,you'd accept him back with open arms? I'm not judging, just wondering

Not going to not support a player pulling on the shirt, that's for sure.

As I said, he has something to offer on and off the pitch, will have something to prove.

No more than a 2 year contract (option for a 3rd) and 80 to 100k a week then its a good deal.
Anymore than that then its probably a no.

The club has money to invest in raising the profile, what other name will generate the media interest this will create?

I would see him taking that sort of offer and still having a China / USA payday. Makes sense all round INO

He's barely fit for Utd these days so I would like us to go for younger and hungrier players, players with something to prove.

With European football he has plenty of games to get fit. Plus a manager more willing to play him as he appears to want him

Time to look forwards and not back, no thanks. That ship has sailed.

I have never had an issue with him leaving. the season before we finished 17th and the long term future prospects looked bleak. he was joining the biggest club in the country playing for probably the best British manager of all time so can't begrudge him that. personally I think he could still do a job for us so would take him back.
