David Moyes

David Moyes relegated 3 years 11 months and 21 days after he was appointed Manchester United manager.

What a dramatic fall.. can't believe he actually managed Manchester United.

Feel sorry for JOS. One minute you're nutmegging Figo, and 15 years later you're getting relegated with Sunderland.....

I think Utd broke Moyes as a manager. He could get away with playing the underdog card at Everton, but he took it too far at Utd and Sunderland with his "Liverpool are favourites" quote before Utd hosted Liverpool at OT, and saying Sunderland were in a relegation battle after two games.

I like him as a bloke, think he is a good manager, but nowhere near good enough to pick up the poisoned chalice offered him at our club. Imagine following Fergie?

Sunderland and Villa are one and the same and did nothing except stink out the league year after year. It hasnt been a surprise that Villa have been average this season and after the massive clear out that will happen at Sunderland over the summer I think they have too much to do to get promoted at the first time of asking.

Moyes needs to go to a "safe" team. He isnt cut out for a top club, a club favourite for relegation or a club abroad. He is a very limited and incredibly negative manager who has lived off his time at Preston and Everton. I don't think he has any reputation left now to fall back on and smacks of failure.

I've got nothing against Moyes. Hope he picks himself up and gets back to the top. He's a decent manager even if he wasn't right for us...

It looks to me like Moyes fails to really inspire his teams when he goes to a new environment. At Everton he'd managed to stay in there long enough to become authorative to the point that players would play for him.

As soon as he stepped out of that safe environment, he's been out of his depth at all three clubs. The wheels came off, basically. Needs to reinvent himself a bit I feel. He comes across as defeated before a ball has even been kicked.

Needs to go to a team like Swindon.

I couldn't believe our luck when you appointed Moyes, 26 years of work from Fergie undone with one signature.

True.

I feel for him, the way his reputation and standing have plummeted since he joined us.

Maybe staying at Sunderland and managing in the Championship would be the best thing for him, but I get the feeling that the players aren't motivated to play for him and he needs a(nother) fresh start.
