Really enjoyed/enjoying the competition, keep up the good work!
I hope you're doing it next season and hope I get to partake [I am a B'ham fan so our Champo status is in the balance...
I just wondered if you could tell the group, based upon the last game(s) and with a maximum of three Jokers what the maximum amount of points available?
My calc is 12 games x 6pts for a draw = 72pts
Add 3 Jokers for x3 = 18pts
TOTAL = 90pts
The above does not include any bonus points remaining.
So if two prizes are up for grabs and Penshawsdave fails to get any, that leaves it down to anyone with 551pts or more is in for a shout (unlikely...) which is 7th place [you] and above.
Or else if bannoram fails to get any, that leaves it down to 538pts or more in for a shout at 2nd, which is 8th [halfman].
Sorry if it seems my OCD is kicking in!

So firstly, here is points system for this seasons competition:-

Correct score:-

Draw 6 points, Away win 5 points, Home win 4 points

Correct result:-

Draw 3 points, Away win 2 points, Home win 1 point

10 jokers are available for the whole season and can be used at any time during the 40+ rounds. MAXIMUM amount of jokers for any round will be restricted to up to 3. Correct scores will be x3 points and correct results x2 points when jokers are used.

3 x J x 18pts "ditto" = 54pts
TOTAL = 108pts available for last game + any bonus points

KillPage. The rule used to be that there would be a maximum of up to one third for draw predictions, thus eliminating someone posting all draws. However, this season it was dropped and apart from two or three, who have averaged over the old third ruling, most of us haven't gone overboard with draw predictions.

Looking back over the 4 seasons I've been running this comp. there's rarely a round that goes by with an excess of results ending in a draw.
