It's a strange one with monk

Line up, tactics and formation cost us big time today.

But this side isn't a good side at all, and if the season started again today, I don't think we'd come top ten.

So you've got to give huge credit to monk for getting a average side so close.

So the big question is, can he do it again next season and take it a step further.

As great as monk has been, for me there are massive questions marks about his signings, tactics and style of play.

Whether monk stays or goes, the biggest thing is the club to be run properly because it's been a disgrace how it's been run.

Seriously why haven't the likes of monk and Bartley been spiked to about the future.

Bartley comments reminded me very much of bamba's today.

And that is why we should all worry about the future

Bartley praised the work done by Monk this season and he says Leeds probably wouldn`t be the place for him next season if they fail to give the head coach a new deal.

"He`s been fantastic and if the owners can`t see that, and if the owners can`t get him tied down, then it probably wouldn`t be a place where I wanted to be because they need to have a vision and the manager is that vision in my eyes," Bartley continued.

Nothing wrong with what Bartley has said there.

Amazed that seem feel that Cellino has exerted no influence on any of this.

Cellino was the one for example who told AR not to spend in January, a time when the right players added to a team heading north could have made all the difference.

Every end of season under Cellino we see the same thing, head coach left in limbo and therefore players too.

Bartley has spoken out well and echoed what we all really knew, these loanees are all going back and club makes no real effort to keep the better ones.

At this time of angst due to missing out on playoffs would be good to see some leadership from the owners, AR included as to what happens next.

The club have had plenty of chance to tie Monk down and could easily have done it on a similar basis to the supposed 50/50 ->100% deal i.e. more money to be paid if promoted, after all, we have a load of players with those sorts of contingent payments as shown in the accounts.

I think Monk's conducted himself well, given us best season in years, just think what he could do if properly supported with this years experience under his belt.

Amazed that some seem to think MC has some kind of a hold over AR, is bullying him into decissions etc......
