Today shows why we don't need him. He disappears in big games. He was so focused on scoring against Chelsea today and failed to focus on his team winning the game.

Dunno about that. If he wants to come to Chelsea and scored a winner that stopped us winning the league, it might make it a bit awkward.

Even an Everton win wouldn't have stopped Chelsea winning the title

I was one of his biggest critics but had been warming to the idea of re-signing him. He has improved off the ball but what I like about him is his ability to finish confidently with either foot.

There was a time today though when Everton were on the counter attack, a long ball was played to RL around the center circle. He held it up well, showed good strength then played a terrible pass to his team mate, didn't have the right weight on it at all and this has always been a massive problem for him.

He is a great goal scorer but this pass just reminded me of why I was indifferent to him in the past. He's a bit hit and miss in his overall play. Yes he'll improve but as a footballer (as apposed to goalscorer) he's so unnatural.

Costa will be leaving so they will need someone.

Don't think Lukaku is the answer for them though.

You can say the same about kante hes a great ball winner but 60% of the time he gives it away, hes fantastic as a spoiler but not very gifted as a player.

He was rubbish today, saying that, so was Costa. One thing you can say about Lukaku, he doesn't go to ground easy, unlike Costa.

Or a missile in to Gaza.

He didn't look like a £50m plus player yesterday.

But Kante wasn't signed as a playmaker. He may not have the creative ability of some of the top midfield players, but it does not detract from his immense ability to stop the opposition by winning possession. However, if you are playing as a striker, I think it is fair to say that holding up play and bringing others into the game by passing to teammates must be part of what you are expected to do. Lukaku gets a 10/10 for strength, and 8/10 for finishing - but perhaps a 4/10 for technical ability. Not sure that's good enough.
