Before you go jumping down Monk's throat...

Here's a list of things most Championship managers have to deal with over the course of a season:
Injuries
Suspensions
Player Fitness
Premiership clubs sniffing around for the best players.

Here's a list of what Garry Monk has to deal with managing Leeds United for a season:
Injuries
Suspensions
Player Fitness
No fight from the owners to keep our best players
Negligible transfer funds
An interfering, incompetent lunatic of an owner ready to bring the axe down at a moment's notice

Given everything he's had to deal with, to not only finish 6 league places above our previous result, but also be massively disappointed not to be higher is an amazing achievement.

Forget about what could have been. Look on to next season. Cellino gone, huge investment coming from overseas (apparently), a manager that's actually had a full season to settle in and assess the squad.

For the first time in what feels like an eternity, things are starting to look up.

Trust in Radrizzani
Trust in Monk

Older experienced players?..

You could say battle hardened and handled the Championship the way it should be done!..

You cant fault the older players for showing the younger players in this league the way it should be done, well done to Brighton but also to them for doing what had to be done!.

As for Monk and Leeds United, I think the people that took over Wigan yesterday let him know what they want, he's done a great job this season and will go into next with a year off learning behind him, something that will help him through wherever he ends up!..

Brighton averaged 29.8 age last season. Experienced yes with no pressure or expectation on them. Recipe for success. Only Wigan have an older squad who averaged 30.1

No pressure or expectations

They were one of favourites to go up !!!!

Brightons squad collectively is getting on a bit. They'll need a fair amount of rebuilding within the next couple of seasons whereas as Fulham are much younger

To be honest any team that goes up needs to spen wisely. Look at Burnley they didnt invest properly when they were promoted and went down. This year they spent wisely and have been rewarded with another season in the Prem.

If we had been promoted this season we would have had to invest as we are far off a premier league team

And we'd have had to pay out nearly 30 mill in clauses.

My maths skills have Brighton having an average squad age of 28.

Brighton over the course of the season were a lot better than us and I'm sure they'll be investing there TV money wisely, safe in the knowledge that if it doesn't work out this time around they can plug the gap with the parachute payments ( I think there still in play?) - oh to have that problem.

Still mystified how we could turn them over yet roll over against mighty Burton Albion.

Now Mr RADZ where's your Piggy Bank?
