Champions you were right when you said we were going around in circles. I think the problem is I fundamnetally believe people have the right to take credit for their own achievements and am not comfortable with the idea of giving credit to the former manager. I respect your opinion though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you've possibly misunderstood the whole credit debate here so let me just clarify this.

A lot of us, not all, give credit and appreciation to Pearson for transforming our club, building the team and finding a style of play capable of winning it but that's where it ends.

Ranieri gets huge credit from every Leicester fan for actually winning it and he was the perfect man at the time to see us through because he was excellent at deflecting pressure, keeping the players calm and tactically a genius at times.

We couldn't have won the league without Ranieri but we also couldn't have without Pearson.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think this is fair. There's a difference between saying you couldn't have won the league without Pearson, because he did obviously make most of the team ranieri used and then actually giving him credit for the title win itself. At least, I see a difference there.

Yeah it's easy for words to be misinterpreted but I'm pretty confident that's how everyone else views it too but the way we translate our opinion might not always reflect what we mean. I know I'm guilty of it, like the whole Hillsborough comment, no malice and taken out of context but it's easily done with written words and no intonation or visual expressions.

Maybe you're right. The bigger test for Shakespeare will be how things go for him next season. I wonder whether it would ruin the story of last season a little though if Leicester go and finish top 4 next season haha. not that you'll care of course

Actually I can say what I actually said now that got me banned. It was after the Hillsborough verdict exonerating any Liverpool fans from any fault, which I disagreed.

If I was one of those fans who pushed into the ground because I couldn't wait patiently like others outside behind who did, I would feel responsible and I would want to take responsibility. Yes absolutely the police facked up and should definitely have been held accountable for their negligence but the fact remains that if everyone had waited outside for the police to do their job properly and open the stadium to let fans in, it wouldn't have happened. So to not blame the Liverpool fans who were too impatient and entered an area they weren't supposed to be in was wrong to me and I felt that was an injustice to the victims. Nobody read it that way though and the timing was awful, I should have kept my opinion to myself but I was called all sorts because people thought I was being insensitive towards the victims and that was never the case, I felt nothing but tragic sympathy for them and their families but anger and disgust at those shirking responsibility. If you fack up take it like a man and own up, that's the way I live and that's what I would have done because I would have felt partly responsible.

I think it's best not to say things like that openly, especially to people you probably don't know well. Regardless of how you think, it's better to not risk upsetting people over something sensitive.

I can understand why you or other fans might not understand what Shakey has done and just how important he was last season as the link between the players and Ranieri. He's got a really close bond with them and I think it's fair to say that he's the reason behind how close they are but we used to credit Pearson.

I was gutted when Ranieri was sacked and initially I blamed the players but by Saturday I'd fully changed my mind and totally agreed with it and then understood why we'd been so poor all season. We guessed our style of play was changing but we couldn't really tell if it was that or we were just shiittt and we thought it was the latter but no, it was because he was trying to change our style of play.

I was hesitant about Shakey too and didn't think there was any chance he'd be able to do the job but I've been well surprised, amazed in fact because he's done everything brilliantly. He's handled tough games with a lot of pressure, he's managed squad rotation, injuries and suspensions excellently, he speaks to the media well and he says all the things you subconciously want him to say. He's tactically very very astute and this is obviously a reason why he was involved with England with Allardyce. He's a dark horse with a lot of hidden talents and in the 13? games he's managed, he done everything I would expect a top class manager to do. His tactical changes in both legs against Atletico were brilliant and he more than proved himself then but he's done it regularly. He's also been extremely brave and made the right changes at the right times in every game.

So I've gone from thinking we were in the shiitt if we didn't get Hiddink in quick to being convinced that he's the perfect person to move us forward as a club. He doesn't have the name but results are way more important and he gets results.

Yeah exaclty and that's why I said I should have been more sensitive. I didn't mean to upset anyone but I know it did so yeah learn from mistakes and don't be a fool.

Just thought Arro was firmly in the CR out camp. I stand corrected, DM.

Yeah I was well annoyed and vehemently blamed the players and I thought we were in the shiiitt with Shakey. By Saturday I'd heard enough to understand that the only option was to sack him and that he deserved to go before because then I realised why we'd been so shiitt and that the players weren't to blame. I always said the effor is there, can't fault that we're just shiittt but without the knowledge of what the cause was, Ranieri!

CS quickly started proving me wrong too and now I think he's got everything he needs to be a top manager and I'm excited about his and our future. He's not got the name but he does have a good reputation within the game and this is a results driven business not a name driven and the more he wins the more his name will become familiar.

So yeah definitely blamed the players and thought CS was going to be shiitt. I was wrong on both counts.
