Started in the Misters games at 16, he will suffer burnout like Rooney.

This Rooney burnt out because he started at 16 theory is nonsense imo. He was a squad player for the first two season. Guys like Ronaldo and Zlatan have been around as long or longer.

Rooney has not looked after himself over the years. Always had weight issues and the celebrity lifestyle with the influences that come with it. That's probably more of an factor than playing football at 16.

I've just read a report that hooligan 'fans', angry at reports in the Spanish press about 'Coutinho interested in going to Barca' have vandalised his car by pelting it with stones, smashing the driver's side window.

Do these knuckle dragging neanderthals not realise that their actions are exactly the type of thing that could make his mind up that maybe Liverpool isn't the club for him?

I didn't say they were Liverpool fans. I also don't know how the reporter knows it was related to the Spanish press.

I have also just noticed that the original story was in the Daily Fail so I have to assume it was possibly one of their reporters that did the damage so they would have something controversial to report on.

Coutinho is still young and will improve.
I think the top clubs will come circling in one or two years time.

Chelsea fan in peace here.I love to watch Coutinho play and I think Real Madrid might come in for him in a few years time but I would love to see him play for Chelsea in the future.Liverpool have done enough to keep Coutinho for at least two more seasons and I wish Liverpool are 4th and win remaining two matches so that they get into Champions League next season.
