If we make the top 4 i can see our players, the management team and a lot of fans celebrating
If this happens i wont be happy, i wont be happy if we dont make it as the other teams Arsenal, Utd have been poor for most of the season.
I can not take another season of getting no further on and becoming an also ran.
This seaso we have seen most of our team under perform yet they were rewarded with new bumper deals...football is the only profession in the world were it seems to pay to perform badly
Roy Keane done an article a few weeks back slaughtering Utd and Liverpool for seeing 4th place as great thing...its not.
Half of the champions league teams are not better than the mid table teams in the prem but are there because of the standard of their league
I dont want to see any more signings of players with potential, this will only result in another 5/6th place finish
Annoyed either way

Players with potential do have it upon themselves to show quality better than what they actually are you know. That's why having youngsters can be very unique at times. I'm well aware that Liverpool I think would benefit from seasoned professionals and some wealthy experience in that side as well, but youth is certainly a way to go about things as well for me.
I know people moan about immaturity, all potential, inexperience etc. But even Spurs, they've now been a title contender for 2 seasons running with a fairly young starting 11. Narrowly missing out both times really in the grand scheme of things, so it does for sure push you forward in that respect.

VJ, I can understand to an extent your sheer unmitigated frustration at where we are and where you and I want us to be. Up to the euphoria that was December when we were way out in front, expectations were high, perhaps too high and going through the roof.
Then reality spanked us between the eyes in January, Mane away, injuries to major players, and down to planet earth we plummeted. Where were we at the end of last season, eighth? Look how well we've done against the other teams in the top six.
OK! At times shambolic against the teams lower in the PL, but there you are.
Top 4? Well it's still possible. If we get it, huge celebrations? Well, no, I suppose I share your views, to an extent. But, top four will be a massive achievement for our club and manager and I will drink to that.

VJ, Sunday will be the opportunity for the team, the squad to show just how much they was CL. I've been slagged off, time and again, for complaining about the sideways, backwards, sideways play at walking pace that they, under Jurgen sometimes play. He claims patience, but there are or has to be limits. In the game against Southampton, their back four never broke a sweat. That's no good.
I don't care how WHU play on Sunday, I want to see our team come out, guns blazing, fighting to the death, attack being the sole manner of play.
If they did that, even if they lost, I could accept it, even reluctantly.

I dont get why you would be unhappy to see players and fans celebrate getting top 4 as it is an achievement given Liverpool have only qualified for it once in the last five or six years. You may have higher aspirations but you have got to be realistic Liverpool have been where they have been for the last few years for a reason. While still being a big club they are not what they once were.

There are realistically six proper contenders to finish in the top 4.
If any of them finish below anyone outside this 6 they should be very disappointed.
4th is not a particularly big achievement. Bottom half of the table in that mini league of 6.
The budgets obviously need to be taken in to account. As such, Liverpool will have had a better than par season with anything above 5th.
Should it be celebrated? No.
Should it be something to be happy about? Yes. It is an improvement on last season, and a good amount of points to boot.

As it is, I see Liverpool getting 3rd.
No reason why that should not be something to be pleased with

I can somewhat agree with the title of the article.
I'll be relieved if we get 4th but some of our performances against weaker teams this season has been shocking and other teams failings have helped us stay in the top 4 as much as anything.
Plymouth, Wolves, Swansea, Bournemouth, Palace, Southampton all frustrated Liverpool.
The key of course is attracting the players that would only move for CL.
