Brentford 1 - 1 Arsenal
Zirkzee(Kubo)
Lautaro(Odegaard)
MOTM - Stones

A fair amount of changes for both sides, both full of quality and very good tactics, felt they pretty much nulified each other, Stones and Guehi doing well to stop the threat of Lautaro for most of the match

Man City 2 - 3 Spurs
Salah(Grimaldo), Araujo(Grimaldo)
Vlahovicx2(Leoa, Mac Allister), P.Neto(Leao)
MOTM - Grimaldo

Again good set ups but think both can be got at, especially out wide, great going forward, both sides hence the 5 goal thriller

Leicester 2 - 2 Newcastle

A vastly improving Newcastle will be a threat to anyone, and are the only unbeaten team left, had a real go at Leicester who as always were very good, it paid off with a very good away point

Osimhen(Foden), Gyokeres(Musiala)
Kane(KDB), KDB(FK)

Aston Villa 2-1 Watford
----------------------- Ferguson 36 (Magno)
Watkins 53 (Luiz)
----------------------- Vanderlan 65
Chiesa 86 (Watkins)
MOTM: Verbruggen

A tough game to call, Watford's front four would trouble Villa at times, but the red card went against them. Villa eventually able to break down the stubborn Watford 4-4-1. I like Villa's side a lot but they definitely missed Bernardo Silva. On another day Watford get something out of this.

Chelsea 2-2 Manchester United
Mbappe 17 (Bellingham)
------------------------- Saka 24 (Frimpong)
Haaland 39 (pen)
------------------------- Boniface 49 (Saka)
MOTM: Saka

Chelsea would dominate large parts of this game, but the left side is a little vulnerable compared to the right (Colwill/Mendes not as strong as Hakimi/Dias, and Mbappe isn't one for tracking back) so I would see Man U getting a lot of joy with Frimpong at RWB and Saka as RW. I feel like the back three of Man U does well to combat the obvious threats of Mbappe and Haaland although not able to silence them all day. The rapid Van De Ven on the same side as Mbappe was very clever. Or lucky

Man Utd 1 - 2 Leicester

Hojlund(Frimpong)
Foden(Musiala), Nunez(Kvarat)

Man Utd would cause problems down th flanks, whereas I feel Leicester would dominate centrally, Hojlund had his chances against Lukeba who was there to be got at, but could only finsh the one, Leicester quality throughout however and finshed the game off

Newcastle 2 - 2 Man City
Kane(KDB), Isak(Kane)
Vlahovic(Leao), Mac Allister(Neto)

A very even game, two very good teams who should be aiming for top 4

Spurs 0 - 1 Brentford
Zirkzee(Szoboszlai)
Onana

A red card for Onana changed this game earlt in the second half, Spurs on top until then, Brentford defended very well and struck the winner through Zirkzee near the end

Watford vs Chelsea

Watford a well balanced midfield and attack, technically some excellent players with good pace so could see them having joy against an attacking Chelsea that would leave space for them to get time on the ball. Defensively I think the lack of experience would work in the opposite direction against the quality of Chelsea which I think would cause real problems.

Would expect Chelsea to dominate with the quality in midfield. Chelsea with the two attacking fbs not the best defensive combo to give the rest of team freedom to be at their best - would personally go in Pep direction of cb at fb to get best out of Alvarez/Mbappe. Otherwise midfield trio and attacking trio would work very well, with fbs offering width. Just the defensive impact of those fbs and attackers, leaves a real chance to be got at.
Subs liked the changes both made, Chelsea bringing on more quality but think Ferguson would’ve had biggest impact.

Watford 1 - 2 Chelsea
Ferguson (Guilherme) ; Haaland (Jude), Mbappe (Enzo)
MOTM: Rice

Arsenal vs Aston Villa

Arsenal midfield is lightweight but with the back 3, and the quality of the trio I think it would work most games. Could do with more runners to stretch teams though, as without that don’t think the midfield 3 would be at its best - not sure a playmaking forward works well with that mix.
Villa have a good balanced side, lacked the quality of Arsenal but could see Villa causing a real threat down the wings.
Arsenal had home advantage and only slightly, but did prefer their subs. So they had upper hand going in

Arsenal 2 - 1 Villa
Lautaro (Gundogan), Lautaro (Jota) ; Watkins (Chiesa)
MOTM: D. Luiz

Lautaro(Leao) 16
Ferguson(Prestianni)
MOTM - J.Guerra

Watford gona surprise a lot of teams, good young vibrant team, Arsenal still improving, thought more detailed tactics gave Watford was a bit significant even tho Arsenal were straight and direct instructions, although a bit confusin or am I just being thick?

Brentford 2 - 2 newcastle
Jota(Livramento)2, Bowen(Szoboszlai)60
Openda((Sane)43, KDB(Son)67

A nice open game, good for the crowd and MOTD, two attack mided sides, both with faults and strengths, a fair result in the end

Man City 3 - 2 Man Utd

A feisty derby with plenty goals, defensively both there to be got at imo, with goals and tackles flying in, the game change when Thuram was sent off for a two footed challenge, leaving Gravenberch in the centre all on his ownsome giving City the advantage in the closing stages

Savio(Maatsen)6, Vlahovic(Pen)60, Dybala(Simons)78
Hojlund(Lewis)12, Saka(Lewis(29)
MOTM - Lewis
