GET IN!!!!!

I know I've been very negative about the team recently but I'm damn proud of the lads today, proved me wrong completely and I'm delighted!!!

Had a few wines with the in laws at dinner today!!

Spurs fan in peace.

That was an outstanding performance today. The pressure was really on and your team responded with flying colours.
Put those horrible gloating lot in their place.

I know you have struggled against the lesser teams but you will beat Boro comfortably next weekend.

Always had a soft spot for Liverpool as a club, supporters and the city.

Studge to stay. Been hated by a lot of whatever reason his workrate was better before but he does the job. Anything can happen next week but we should complete the job home to boro. Next season we have to get better and hopefully win a trophy.

DS needs to stay next season IMO. We will have a long season ahead next season and if we have him available for even 25 of those games, he will be worth keeping. He's a proven game changer and match-winner and looks likely to be the difference between LFC making top 4 with his end of season cameo. I'd be happy for him to stay. Our fan base has been crying all season about not having a plan b - Well he's it!

The problem for me is the likelihood of him being available when we need him. It's no good using him for depth of the bench if he's not there.

That is a very good point.

What happens if we get a set of fixtures against lesser teams who 'park the bus' (like Burnley, Watford & United ) and our plan B is on the treatment table again.

Unfortunately Studge has become a very expensive luxury and a decent replacement is required but whether FSG are willing to fork out the £40m-£60m required is a concern.

The injuries will always be a concern with DS, but I'd be more than happy to give him one more year, he's 27 now so really coming into his prime years, his quality is never in question, and frustratingly he was fit for long periods this season but it was when we didn't have to rely on him.

But looking at yesterday I think we have seen a blueprint for plan b next season, especially v teams who sit deep at Anfield, play a diamond with cout deeper and this gets two outrigth strikers onto the pitch and it really suits Studge.

Also you can clearly see how comfortable other players are giving him the ball, they know he will retain posession at a minimum, Cout basically just passed to Studge whenever he could yesterday.

I guess if it comes down to either keeping DS or needing to sell him to free up wages to sign a different striker I'd say we would probably have to sell, however if Studge is happy to stay and understands he won't play every game when fit then we shoud keep him and sign another striker / wide froward, feck it we shoudl have CL football and to compete at the top you need proven quality on the bench.

And finally, DS is great, brilliant to watch, loves the club and fans and seems to get on well with Klopp, feck it give him a new deal on 200k a week

It doesn't matter how good he is because the time he spends recovering from injuries is not justifiable.

We're not exactly flying financially yet so I can't see how keeping Studge can be rationalised. Otherwise, I'd keep him.

To be honest I'd give him to at least January cause he hasn't been as injury prone this year. A lot of them were sub appearances but he's played 26 games across all comps. If he can get through pre season unscathed then who knows.

I was somewhat surprised to hear the 'experts' on TV suggesting Sturr has lost some of his speed. That definitely wasn't evident yesterday.

Keep him, Jurgen.
