Lamela

Evening Spurs fans

Hope you all enjoyed the final farewell to the Lane yesterday but it's now time for bigger and better things

I noticed something yesterday and wanted to hear all of your opinions. Lamela was nowhere to be seen yesterday which I thought was quite odd. Now I understand that he is supposed to be in "rehab" but there were ex-players out there in the rain barely able to stand so I don't really buy that as an excuse.

Am I overreacting or have we seen the last of Lamela? Personally I hope not as it will be like a new signing having him back.

Thoughts?

ITK my backside. The same ITK's that are saying we will sell him for £35m !!

So John Stones moves for £50m and we get £15m less for a better player??

I would like to see him back, despite prior reservations.

I think the 2 in the 3421 would suit him down to the ground myself, close to his natural 10 position.

My hunch for some time has been to see him move to CM though, in the 'Dembele'. I think he is tenacious enough for it, and would give us a bit of passing composure in there

Not sure about that. Dembele's unbelievable natural strength gives him an edge on just about every opponent. Lamela is pretty lightweight. I do prefer him centrally though as his greatest asset is threading a pass.

Obviously Dembele is almost irreplaceable in terms of what he offers, but I meant the position rather than the man.

We have played Winks there, Eriksen has dropped in, and both Arsenal and City have used Cazorla and Silva to good effect in a deeper role.

I do not think we will see Lamela again.

He is injured he was always injured but there were other factors involved especially his brothers situation.

The club protected him as best they could to diffuse the "drug" rumours.I just do not think mentally he is right to return here.

You know what i would rather see whats best for him,i do not wanna see him struggling. Let him do what he needs to do for himself.

i'd like him to stay. on his social media he's always watching the games hashtagging COYS. so who knows. all depends on how poch sees it.
I think Wimmer, Lamela and Walker will be the senior players that might leave now, but that is worst case scenario. Why i think if that's the case we need 5 new players. I honestly think Sissoko will stay another year

We've seen the last of Lamela.
And, truth be told, I suspect Lamela may have seen the last of a football pitch.
If his hip problem required the surgery we've been told it did, then depending upon what that surgery was, he may be told that he can walk or hike, or swim but never run again without risking another surgery.
So........ its a pity because he was an extremely promising player.
But it happens.
I remember meeting a young black kid in an ortho surgeon's waiting room. He was obviously pretty peeed off. I asked him wot was wrong. All he said to me, with some venom, was "I'm a 45 second 400 meter man". I guess he was on some track team here in the USA. But I feared, no longer!.

What the fack us wrong with you. Your comments are always absolutely ridiculous and do not even have any coherent structure to them. Honestly wtf you talk probably the most rubbish on this board - at least wums have an agenda, you just spout random bs.

And why did you have to mention the kid was black, and then say he spoke to you with venom? Tryna push some agenda there you pr!ck?

Ted is a muppet, I'm not sure he is clever enough to have an agenda.

It's the Gak. Same thing happened to Berahaino and Willshire.

An 'injury'.

Give these kids 50k a week and guess what...?

So we now know why Lamela never came over on Friday

INJURY UPDATE: @ErikLamela has undergone a planned procedure to his right hip.

Erik recently had an operation on his left hip and the latest surgery will not affect the overall recovery period.

Second time he's done that within a few months. Got banned for referring to Sturridge as a monkey and blamed it on it being lost in translation because he's American
