The players have appointed Shakey

News just out of the great team spirit gang well unless your Musa.
They have appointed CS as their peremenant manager for next season. Players spokesman Kasper said we have great faith in Craig he wont change a thing and will not sign any players that we don't like or is better than us.

Soz i'm bored but i cant see past CS getting the job next week and good luck to him and lets get some good signings in please this time.

He will get it, who else can we attract who can have the same sort of impact. Think about it.

Silva?

Hmm, he's done a decent job but hasn't managed to keep Hull up with the easiest end of season run in. Losing at home to Sunderland when they needed to win was a bad one.

Possibly being harsh, I don't know.

Silva is rumoured to be Watford's number one target as their new ex-manager-to-be over Ranieri. So on that basis he must be the nuts.

I vote with the players. Give the best qualified man the job.

That man is Shakey, whether you like it or not.

A key role as the manager is to lead the players. Shakey leads so well they fight for him. Now that's a real leader. Not because they have to play for him, because they want to.

Transfers at an advanced stage according to Shakey, promising signs we're getting our business done early?

to the players for appointing Shakey.

to the owners for listening to the players and letting them decide who to be our manager next season.

to Shakey for turning around a team that was nailed on for relegation to the Championship and getting a mid-table finish.

to everyone involved, including the fans.

God bless us, every one.

I think Shakespeare reverting to type (I'm unsure how its suggested he didn't change things when he came in!?) was an obvious decision but we mustn't forget he still had to motivate the players. Getting them to play in a formation they know and like when they are winning is a much easier task than when they have been damn right awful for weeks/months.

What it reminded us of is that he was part of those foundations put in place Several years ago.

Fortunately there was still enough muscle memory in the tank for the players to readjust to previous tactics and formation and with a familiar nudge/arm around the shoulder, push us back towards form that hasn't been completely different to last year.

However....because of this, it is hard to judge what strengths he has as a new manager (not that this necessarily puts us in a bad position as I still don't see any immediate signs that our current ethos can't continue to work and be built on); he has done the majority right in my opinion, but the test of mettle will come when we next hit a rough patch.

It will be interesting to see our pre-season, as I expect to see a return to meticulous detail over training and fitness and all of the linking technology.

It was also interesting to hear him recently distance himself from the summer transfer window with regard to his input. I wasn't really sure how to take it, but irrelevant of how much input he has, it is vital we look to make the right sort of signings (with regard to who fits out ethos and a much broader/logical view of who can REPLICATE AND IMPROVE on what we have, rather than 'we need to be looking at X Y Z because the are BIG players or even quality players in some cases - it has to be a quality that we need and inclusive quality of what we already have in that position as we have seen how devasting it can be to our very niche formation/tactics to adjust any of the key parts)

It's quite ironic that we saidexactly that about Claudio in his first couple of months, that bad patch never came in his first season and we won the League!!
