Fawaz's Gone

...we're rid of the imbecile for good?

Apparently it's all approved by the EFL and looks like there is a good chance...

In a strange way Fawaz may actually have helped Forest by lowering expectations to zero. That way anything beyond a relegation battle looks like progress and gives the manager a bit of breathing space, at least for a while.

There were no expectations whilst Al Hasawi was in charge, just fear of how bad it could possibly get. I'm a little cautious and wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't much of an improvement on last season's position as Warburton has a lot of dead wood to shift and will be recruiting on a limited budget, unless they don't take FFP into account, which would be a gamble I hope they don't take.

It'll hopefully just be nice to just observe and talk exclusively about what is happening on the pitch with the Reds for the first time in ages.

Oh, those excuses are why Fawaz failed to get us promoted apparently.

We were the third highest spenders on Football Agent's fee's in both the EFL and the Prem', I believe and look what we needed up with?

Didn't we spend only slightly less on agents as we did with fees for incoming players? I know that doesn't include outgoing, but also doesn't include the agent consulting to Fawaz who handled at least one transfer where he represented the player.

For some reason the FL seem to not have a problem with active agents working for clubs, I believed Blackburn have had a similar scenario that got mentioned by the local MP

Wolves the looking at putting Mendes in charge of all of their transfers. Lambert is, quite rightly, a bit miffed. It suggests to me that the brown paper bag industry is still doing a roaring trade around football clubs.

Al Hasawi was clearly taken for a ride by many agents looking at those fees. They definitely took advantage of his naivety. He can tweet away about injuries, embargoes, etc, costing him this alleged promotion to the Prem (which was never close to becoming reality) but the simple fact is, he did more to harm his own dream than aid it. So many players came to the club and treated it as a holliday camp it was ridiculous.

We've been considered a playground for a while by many and I include the former owner and his inner circle in that

Yes, got to hope that having some experienced people in the offices will lead to a more professional approach in all areas by the club. Season ticket sales are already going well and the new kit is flying off the shelves so hopefully the good feeling will build towards the new season.
