After defeating relegation fodder 6-1 yesterday I thought I would give my player ratings:
Lloris - 7 Actually had to make a lot of stops and was really good. Can't fault him for the goal just unfortunate.
Sissoko - 10 Best ever performance for a player in a Spurs shirt
Dier - 8 Vardy had a mare all day against him
Alderweirled - 7 Good performance
Vertonghen - 6 Actually thought it was his worst performance for a while
Davies - 6.5 Solid
Wanyama - 8 Destroyed their midfield and made it look easy
Dembele - 7.5 Didn't actually break sweat at all in the game
Son - 8 Really strong performance, but still infuriating as ever
Dele - 8 Very creative in the absence of Eriksen
Kane - 9 MOTM absolutely on fire
Random guy - 7 slotted in comfortably
Jansenn - N/A
Nkoudou - N/A
Tom Caroll - 1

Just my opinion. Because he's Korean, he's not taken as seriously as the fantastic footballer he is proving to be. Yes he can be a bit inconsistent, but then so are most players of his type

I actually agree with this
Kane is more selfish and Dele misses more sitters. Son gets ridiculed for missing a chance despite being one of the most prolific goalscorers in Europe this season

Kane has more assists and averages a similar amount of passes per game as Son despite playing in the position in which you traditionally get the ball least out of any position.
But people are trying to justify their point by comparing him to the outrageously greedy Kane and the hugely wasteful Dele

Who said Kane was 'outrageously greedy' or Dele was 'hugely wasteful'? You're arguing for the sake of it. I said Kane was more selfish than Son, which I think is justifiable, and that Dele misses more sitters, which is hard to prove but they stick out more in my mind
If you want to go down the stats route...
Son - 33.4 passes by 90 mins
Kane - 21.2 passes per 90 mins
Hardly 'similar'
Son also takes less shots per 90 and makes more key passes per 90

I used those superlatives for emphasis.
Technically its Son 33.09 passes per game, but point received.
The telling point, for me, is how the other players react when Son takes a shot when he should have passed. They often get a lot more frustrated with him than Harry. I never said he was a bad player, in fact you could make a case for him having a better season than Harry. I just feel he frustrates me as a fan, we are allowed to criticise our own players.

Because people are always reluctant to give players 10's even when they deserve it. You make a good point though, if 4 goals and an assist isn't a 10/10 performance then what is.

I've noticed it too and I feel it's because Son has less authority within the team than Kane. Dele and Son will be more hesitant to moan at 25+ goal a season and vice captain Kane than Dele and Kane will to moan at somebody not viewed as a guaranteed starter

Makes me laugh, people say Son was "falling over himself" and "clown shoes", when I've seen Kane literally get completely owned by Collins and is falling over every time he gets the ball, yet nothing said.
Don't get me wrong Kane is my hero, but just looking for fairness here

You make it sound like I don't rate the man, which is not what I said. More often than not he doesn't always start off well but then springs to life. As I said, I personally use the phrase clown feet affectionately as he does look like he has big old plates. It is not meant to denigrate him in the least. I haven't got an affectionate name for Kane or Ali cos I just don't. And players can have bad days, Kane was bloody awful against Wet Spam (as were most of the others), they're only human after all. Really, there is no intent in the name clown feet / shoes?!?
