For me Sir Alex Ferguson is the best manager of all time. When you can get Man United winning titles with average players like Valencia, O'Shea, Gibson, Fletcher and other rubbish players you then are a truly oustanding manager. Ofcourse he had some great players but I always remember their relentless attacking after they got the hairdryer treatment from him.
I think he would make Sunderland, Hull or other bottom teams champion.
When you see Man United struggling now, you then realize what a great manager he was.
I don't think spending money is enough to get to the top, you need a mix of a good manager, spending wisely the money and the playing style must be right for the players. He did all those things right.

All title winning teams have some average players. He had some incredible squads.

His most average team was his last title win in 2013.
Most of the time his teams were head and shoulders above the rest

Yep, there will never be another SAF, I think we all still remember when United beat Arsenal in an FA Cup match with a midfield of O'Shea, Gibson, and the Da Silva twins or whatever ludicrous midfield it was
He could do things no other manager could
