Bramall Lane will host of the biggest welterweight showdowns of the year when Britain's Kell Brook defends his IBF crown against the highly rated american Errol Spence.Power, skill and speed will all be on display in this eagerly anticipated bout between two of the best at 147lbs. Welterweight supremacy and the IBF gold are on the line in this must not miss encounter. Also on the card is George Groves who will attempt to win a world title on the forth time of asking against the russian Fedor Chudinov. This is a pivotal point in Groves career and a loss would leave his future in boxing in doubt.
Stylistically it's a riveting clash of athleticism, strength and skill. In terms
of advantages and disadvantages, Brook has the experience and his straight and sharp punches make him a polished striker whilst Spence has the youth and amateur pedigree. It's a genuine 50/50 but my head is telling me that Spence will take it. Brook cannot fight going forward and he prefers countering on the back foot but only if it's at long to medium range. Spence is the better inside fighter and he goes to the body better than anyone. With Brook cutting so much weight from the Golovkin bout, I can see Spence targeting the body. His southpaw stance and jab will allow him to get on the inside where Brook will not be able to tie him up. Brook's power will keep Spence from just wading in but the body work from Spence will slow Brook down and Spence will come on strong late on and earn a split decision. Make no mistake,Brook can win this fight if he keeps it at range and being the home fighter will earn him favour among the judges but unless it's a razor close fight, I can't seem him winning this one.
Errol Spence win via split decision

i'm 5ft 10 1/2, weigh around 12st 10lb
reckon i can boil down to junior middle (11st) i'd batter Kel Brook
my extra height, reach and power advantage would be too much for the lad

Even if you don't get the Brook fight you could probably do with losing a stone

I honestly cannot see how Brook can continue with his boxing career. Where does he go from here? People have mentioned 154 but those guys are not only big but skilful too. Add into the mix that he has now had two eye socket operations, he is risking an awful lot.

Do you even lift Bro.
I'm 5'10 and 13 stone and around 12% fat.
When I was boxing I was 147lbs and that was on weight gaining shakes. Could have easily made lightweight or even super feather and I would have been a monster at that weight

Brook explains the reason he decided to retire during the fight:

Don't need to see the video, it is blatantly obvious why he retired in the fight, unless you are a casual.

Never had a boxing match in his life, total fantasist, just wants to be Manny Pacquiao.

Clearly D4 doesn't really lift because if he did he'd realise that he's only 4lb heavier with all his (shirt)lifting

Me and Pacquiao got exceptionally large wrists for our size. And monster forearms

The video won't tell me anything that I don't already know.
