During the international break to talk about the future
Direct quote from Jansson
Be interesting to see if someone comes in for him, what we'd do
I'll meet with my agent Martin (Dahlin)

I'd love that, but agents as you know see the pound signs

He's signed a three year deal. Not up to the agent

Okay so PL club says to agent, "we will treble his wages....that then is our problem"

Makes sense for a professional to check in with his advisors every now and again.
Off season is a good time to do it.
Keep calm
and
Carry on.

Why not keep him, sign Bartley and two good midfielders

Then you say, you got a three year deal, your going nowhere.
You also report the club for talking about a contracted player
Clubs have been getting transfer bans for this.
Charlie Taylor tried that trick beginning of season, and got told, your going nowhere.
There this myth that players have the power, no they don't.

Will the Pontus panic be the same as the AR takeover panic? As in, a waste of energy on behalf of fans...

Presumably, AR will have put the remainder of the transfer fee in by tomorrow.....

I think we would get north of 20m for him looking at todays prices

Player power cuts both ways. The club can do a Taylor, but if the player wants to leave you have a principle v practical issue. Do you want an unmotivated potentially disruptive character in your dressing room or would you rather take the money while the property is hot and reuse it.
It's s quote from a magazine article, who knows what the context is, but pontus had a falling out with monk, is clearly an emotional character and we haven't heard any 'love Leeds' type comments coming from him recently... so 'I'll talk to my agent about the future' type comments aren't very reassuring
