Time to sell Walcott

One of the most overrated English players. Scores a few goals every season and then goes missing when the going gets tough.

He has fallen out of favour recently starting most games on the bench.

Time to get rid of him this summer. Poor player that was massively overhyped from a young age and never reached the top.

Some people here are completely omitting the benefits of having a superior footballer in an attacking position

Nope. People are just laughing at the idea Walcott is a "fraud", has absolutely no footballing skills, and cannot even run.

But didn't you compare Walcott's goal tally to Bernardo's? Who brings a lot more to the table than goals and assists
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In response to the statement that Walcott isn't prolific.

Perhaps compare his output with other wide forwards though, rather than a wide midfielder

Bernardo isn't a wide forward. Wide forwards would be the likes of Walcott, Pedro, Son, Salah, Schurrle, etc

Bernardo plays the wide role like David Silva or Nasri did

I compared him to Pedro

We should only be talking about selling players, if they're going to be replaced with an upgrade or we need the space in our squad.

Otherwise, we should be concentrating on signing quality players and downgrading the not-quite-as-good ones to squad players

If we can get a decent fee for him and a replacement then I'd sell. He's actually turned out to be far better than I thought he would after seeing him live several times at the start of his Arsenal career.

He was the worst footballer I'd seen at any level, couldn't control, pass or dribble but he's actually solid enough now and often excellent in front of goal - it's just his fitness issues that are the biggest problem.

What will happen when the pace goes? I can see him becoming truly awful despite his general improvements, ship him out and buy someone better. It's true that maybe they won't hit the same goals but their effect on the team over a season could be better.

His level is being a squad player for a top team or a regular 1st team player for a mid-table or bottom team, so I'd say at Arsenal he's more or less found it, considering he doesn't play every week.

We have far more pressing problems in the team to resolve than replacing Walcott. First and foremost we need to get a decent CF who will aspire to 30 league goals a season. For Giroud even 20 is out of reach, let alone 30. Welbecks finishing is not the best and he squanders chances.

Walcott is a player like a lot of others in our squad who suffers from tactics that dont suit him, often those tactics are slowing our game down because of Giroud .
Second I would replace Xhaka. He is defensively very very poor and is very slow. He was at fault in many of the goals we conceded in our poor spell that resulted in the current situation. Failure to close players down, letting playrs run off him, players going past him, etc was responsible for players having time and space that was crucial in those goals. Going with 3 CB's was needed to counter the weakness in his defending and basically adds another defender to cover what the deep lying CM should be. The more you watch him closely the more you see it.
