The future of English football

Found a really good article today about the current England under 20 side at the World Cup in Asia this month (who won against the host nation just now to finish top of their group)

Shows a different approach taken in these youth tournaments by England and how it may pay off in 2022 and beyond

Enjoy. A very good read.

How many minites has he played in 1 position though? It's alright saying he's played 3000+ minutes, but if he's being played here, there and everywhere, he isn't developing correctly is he.

By top club, I mean one of the current top 6, who aspire and expect to win trophies and titles season in, season out now and have high expectations that they expect players to cope with, yes. I can't see many either.

He's developing fine. I would say his time on the left has done him the world of good actually. He looks a much more rounded player than he did this time last year.

24 games wide left, 20 games through the middle, 5 games wide right.

Can't be ersed totting up the minutes in each position. It's irrelevant.

Youth in Asia would probably be the best thing for English football.

Has Rashford struggled for game time? Played more minutes than almost any other teen in Europes top leagues

Add to that the likes of Alli, Sterling, Solanke and co and there are some very good young players out there

Rather than think the past is always going to be the future try and see that England are trying to do things a bit differently now

Solanke has played as much for Chelsea as manninger has for us.

Here's one to take note of:

The less a man makes declarative statements, the less apt he is to look foolish in retrospect.

Or, if you like, in plainer terms:

Don't talk about sheet you don't know about. Then you're less likely to look like a dumb

As this was obviously directed at me cause you seem to read what other people say, you better hope Cech does that tonight to have any chance of winning.
