His record in the transfer market is appalling.

No manager is good or bad in the transfer market.

It's a whole process throughout the club.

Wenger used to be seen as some kind of French market wizard 20 years ago, but is now seen as bad in the market.

Leicester were seen as great last year because of Vardy, Mahrez and Kante. Their signings last summer were very poor though with more money. Slimani, Musa, etc added nothing to them.

A lot of it is luck with individuals, but it's also about buying individuals that work well in what you are doing as a team. Previously 'bad' players can look great in the right set up with good management. Previously 'great' players can look awful in the wrong system.

It's easier for any manager to be lucky when are spending £200m a window but it doesn't take that much to compete.

City net spend was 165m. Utd's was 102m. And City had a much better squad to start with. City were short changed last season where as we picked up two major trophies.

Jose 2 Pep 0.

Don't stress boys. Pep bought Nolito, a perma crock in Gundogan, Bravo and £50m John Stones.

He's like a kid in a sweet shop. His record in the transfer market is appalling. Even at Barca it wasn't great. The players that made that team were already there.

He's a quality coach but he just doesn't seem himself at City. Just chucking the chequebook at it now and fielding entirely foreign 11's which he did in 3 of the last 5 pl games. I'm not sure he's got PL football yet.

This is a wum surely?

Nobody likes a chequebook manager. A manager who develops the layers is much better.

I don't think so
As we know young Eric is an utter πŸ””end so it's entirely plausible he thinks like this

With the money floating around the EPL, all 6 top clubs are going to spend big I'd have thought. City are just doing it early and fair play to them for that.

This didn't even make sense seeing as they won 4/5 of games and won 2 of them 5-0
