Which clubs are more attractive...

to potential incoming transfers?

In my opinion, this is the order of which clubs have had the better season;

1. Chelsea - Premier league winners
2. Man Utd - Europa league winners, EFL Cup winners
3. Arsenal - FA Cup Winners
4. Spurs - 2nd
5. Man City - 3rd
6. Liverpool - 4th

But simply being higher up this list doesn't automatically make you more attractive in the transfer market.

For example I believe Arsenal to be above Spurs this year, however the draw of Champions League football next season, combined with a currently better footballing side, with a manager on the up could possibly persuade players away from the Emirates lure and towards White Hart Lane.

Other factors include wages, location, managers, playing style, etc...

On this basis where would each team rank?

Jose is a winner, he's proved that this season, though the football has arguably been 6th best of the top 6.

Pep was a winner, his teams play nice football, money to burn. He can't not get it right, surely?

Conte is very passionate, has come straight in and kicked some life back into Chelsea, London based and certain to be a force next season, if they keep hold of their best players.

Klopp plays fast attacking football, but 2 lost finals and plenty of off days as well, can the German get it right?

Wenger

Poch, arguably the one to watch as far as managers and teams go, two very good years, but still nothing to show for them.

I'm no fan of Spurs, but with a young very English team that plays attractive football and a great younger manager, I think they'll become a destination of young talent. They really do need to win something with a bit of silver on it, but they've broken the whole top 4 thing wide open. City, Chelsea and Us will still attract established talent, but look out for Poch and Co. to give everyone a run for their money next season. They are no longer a selling club,

The nightmare for them is they attract the latest youth whilst their top players are poached, and they stay as nearly men.

That wasn't a fishing rod in the water.

I know that United's nightmare is more dire football as well.

True Shinj, the list could go on. It's why I worry about our turgid football, it's not just for my entertainment. But there is seventy years of attacking play behind us, with a devil may care attitude, playing to win home and away against everybody. A team with swagger, stars, a team Dads wanted to take their sons to watch.
I don't want all that to go out of the window, it takes a lifetime to get our reputation and four or five seasons to ruin it.

Yeah I think that does create a sense of pride, having a fearless tag.....and winning loads.

Now fans will admit they feared Fergie because they just knew. Knew he'd get the late goal/trophy

Fck you Fergie for retiring

That's why I like Tottenham as well; they contributed to some real high scoring United games in my lifetime already.

In terms of the op, that must be ranking who has had the best season in the eyes of fans rather than the clubs themselves?

This is all relative. In reality, United have under achieved badly and are lucky to be in the CL whereas teams like Liverpool have over achieved.

In this league United could spend 200m this summer and still struggle to catch teams like Liverpool and Spurs, leave alone Chelsea and City. United spending a gazillion will not stop Chelsea, City, Spurs, Liverpool from turning over the other 18 teams in the league, which I suspect they will be able to do more often than United.

I think you're wrong No Love. It's not as simple as you make out. It's perfectly possible that we sign the players that turn us into a top team, as Eric did. Then we maybe beating the top teams as well. I'm not saying it will, but it could. Oh and Liverpool didn't turn over the other eighteen.

Well yes that's entirely possible, coming 4th possibly is more important to silverware for clubs and owners these days due to being in the champions league and the money it brings

On terms of progression as a team United cannot say they've been as successful as the likes of Spurs and Liverpool.

Obviously I don't mean to take away from United's achievements but fact is for a club like Liverpool getting CL football at this point in time is more important than any cup. Liverpool will certainly benefit but United didnt necessarily need to win the Ropey league to land their targets. Simply put, United can attract the best players whether they have CL or not because they are loaded anyway, but Liverpool will struggle to do so, even with CL football because they can't compete on wages.
