Company Announcement
Rangers International Football Club PLC (RIFC)
The Board is delighted to announce that Alastair Johnston has, with immediate effect, accepted its invitation to join the Board of RIFC.
Alastair is a former Chairman of Rangers who parted with the Club in 2011 pursuant to Craig Whyte’s takeover which he vehemently opposed.
We can now again benefit from Alastair’s experience of the Club’s affairs as well as his long and successful career in the broader sports marketing industry.
His contributions to the Club will play an important part in determining our strategy as we navigate our journey back to the highest echelons of European football.

you are happy with returning members of the old board, the same ones that put u t1ts up in debt?

Look at Johnston's track record in reducing the debt year on year during the period he was involved

Unless king and co are mystic meg in disguise, then they wouldn't have known the Whyte verdict when it was announced to bears at the weekend.

The guy was shown to be completely inept during the trail.
Only the bears hahahahah.
New proxy for a 'departing' King just after the wee shindig in Vegas anaw.
How very predictable.

He was appointed chairman in 2009 - the debt was £17m.
He left the chairman role in 2011 - the debt was close to £18m.
The overdraft facility reduced to £16m from £30m.
SDM was the main cause of getting us in to debt. AJ was not as effective as we needed.
Here's hoping it's different this time around
