defensively he was very good to be fair

Can't blame Ajax... try and get as much as you can while the players rep is high... especially if English Clubs are practically burning money

Wasn't he the player we identified as the weak link in the final? Allowing him time on the ball while putting pressure on others because his distribution was poor meant they were rarely able to play the ball out from the back.

Seems to be the type of player, who gets himself in trouble only to pull out a last ditch challenge to save his own blushes

His pace got him out of trouble a lot and his last ditch tackles made him look better than he is.

Ajax have sold their stars too cheap for over a decade.

I'm sure if somebody went in with a £35/£40m bid they'd sell, but that's what I'd say he is worth on the 2 performances I've seen. Loads of potential.

That lad Sanchez didn't impress me that much, has a lot of pace though

I thought he was excellent defensively, as with De Ligt, they both had Marcus in their pockets throughout the whole game.
