GOSSIP: City are looking to land Hirving Lozano, according to Sky Sports News.
With just over two weeks until the transfer window officially opens on July 1, the rumour mill has now entered overdrive stage, and, as ever, Manchester City are being linked with all and sundry.
Let’s start with a new name in the frame: Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano.
According to Sky Sports News HQ, the 21-year-old Mexican winger is close to sealing a move to City after scoring 22 goals in 69 league appearances for current Club Pachuca.
A Mexican international, Lozano scored in the 3-0 win over Honduras earlier this week.
It’s understood he would move to PSV Eindhoven on loan, should City manage to land the player who is also being tracked by Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Sky sources also believe City will step up their interest in Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker in the coming days.
The England man is thought to be high on Pep Guardiola’s wanted list, with City now ready to begin formal talks to secure his signature.
They write: “Manchester City are set to begin talks with Tottenham over the potential signing of Kyle Walker, according to Sky sources.
“Sky Sports News HQ understands that City's approach could come as early as this week, following England's international against France on Tuesday.
“Manager Pep Guardiola is thought to be confident of landing the England right-back and hopes to strike a deal for as little over £40m as possible."

And, finally, the Mirror report that City could face competition from Bayern Munich for the transfer of Alexis Sanchez.
The Arsenal forward has one year left on his current Arsenal contract and a number of Clubs are thought to be interested.
But David Anderson and John Cross say the Gunners could be set to block a move to any Premier League rivals.
“Alexis Sanchez fears Arsenal will block him moving to Manchester City - leaving Bayern Munich as his only escape route," they write.
“It is likely to become this summer’s biggest transfer saga but Arsenal are desperate to play hardball to stop him going to City, a move that would infuriate their fans."
That’s all for today, Blues. Join us again tomorrow for more transfer gossip and rumour.

If Guardiola gets his way and manages to field that XI next season, it doesn't matter who we sign, we're fcked.
Tottenham and Arsenal better not let their small club mentality result in them selling Walker and Sanchez to City!

Can't see Sanchez coming although Arsenal will not let him go for free no way in hell.

Not sure Sanchez is needed at all as attacking wise we are absolutely blessed when you factor in other options such as the Original Silva plus De Jesus.

Sanchez is world class though. He'd improve any team in the world except Real IMO.

I think we need another forward. Sane and sterling tired towards the end of the season, if were serious about going for the league and cl we need a bench with quality aswel. At the end of the season we had one quality forward on the bench. Silva and kdb both looked tired aswel.

I know nothing about Lozano, but I'm guessing he is about 5' 7" and plays winger and back up striker. Methinks I see a pattern here. Walker is good, he is invisible when shoving people in the penalty area which is a handy talent to have in the team.
